Not to be pedantic, but if you had it in Feb 2020 you probably had the Ancestral Strain, not Alpha. Alpha was the first major Varient that surfaced in late 2020.
I was joking…not about being sick and spending a day in the ER with every test under the sun run (because they didn’t know what they were looking for…)…I just used “alpha” as a euphemism for “early” or “first”

ill let you be the expert on whatever it actually was called. 👍🏻

Yes, we went to WDW some time in March years ago.
Some nights and some mornings were cold enough for sweat jackets.
I don't know how comfortable I'd be with a gaiter around my neck in those temps though.
But who knows?
We could get unusually cold, or unusually warm weather - or anything between.
Heck, here in central NJ it was in the 20's today and will be above 50 by Thursday.
If still required it's easiest to use lanyard for masks. Get ones that clip on the ear loops. Then the mask just hangs on your neck when not in use

Well thats the biggest concern IMO. I read yesterday on another message board there were a group of people kicked out of DHS for not wearing masks.

I dont think Disney wants to be in the business of kicking all these people out each day.
I have one of those mesh masks with the cloth/fabric underneath, I didn’t know it wasn’t allowed and was kicked off Star Tours because of it. I wore it to the parks the whole first day of my trip, and didn’t hear anything about it. Apparently it’s against Disney's rules, I went through TSA twice & flew with it after that. Nothing against masks or the policies in general it just seems as though Disney's policy is overkill at this point.

They brought it back because, for a brief time, the Omicron outbreak was scary and they thought they had to "do something" for PR.
Key words “for PR” there

masks are tolerable this time of year but as warmer temps and more humidity approaches, not so much. They need to remove masks requirements. It is past time and as you said it was always more for image than safety anyways. If someone is seriously scared about Covid, why would one travel to Disney World’s germ farm and hope a part time fabric keeps them safe

Tomorrow could be an interesting news day if you’re going to Disney soon.
Perhaps not, the upcoming Daytona 500 race weekend is getting more coverage as 100K plus NASCAR fans descend into Daytona Beach with the city still having staffing and supply chain issues. Pack a lot of patience and some suntan lotion!

I don’t want to assume things, but I don’t foresee a whole lot of mask wearing at the NASCAR event.

Disney is currently very busy, so mask requirements are not significantly impacting attendance. And as we know, the last quarter Disney hit a record revenue at the parks.

With this in mind, Disney can afford to take its time and not be in a hurry to make a change and possibly have to reverse it like they did last time. A cautious approach is a wise move in Disney's position.
True. As for record revenue, MEH! the record price hikes, fees, additional charges are the reason for that.
