When this is happening, how can you expect any of us to take it seriously? And just an FYI, once again, for those of you who think that someone is immediately an anti masker and/or vaxxer, I wear my mask and am vaccinated. But I’m also not blind enough to ignore hypocricy…They jumped no guns on their decision at all. Local hospital systems in central Florida have had to go to black status banning all other medical procedures that are not emergencies to free resources to deal with the massive surge in COVID patients. What part of this is so hard to understand.?
Despite what our governor is telling you, central Florida is in the midst of a COVID emergency and everyone must do their part to mitigate. As central Florida’s largest employer and largest tourism destination, Walt Disney World chose to do what it could to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
if you have a problem with those mitigation steps or anything stricter that might be necessary in the future then please stay away and don’t make it worse.
How does this affect your taking anything seriously? When this is happening, how can you expect any of us to take it seriously? Did you read my comment? I’m vaccinated and wear my mask where required. Your argument isn’t with me. And that’s exactly the problem… the mask warriors automatically assume that ANYONE who questions why people are hesitant are cousin lovers from Alabama. Maybe look to this country’s leaders as to why some people are hesitant. Again, not me.How does this affect your taking anything seriously?

You are wrong. 100% wrong. I'm not splitting hairs. Nothing in the written law says anything about a "vaccine passport." I posted the text. Laws are written with specific language. The Executive Order from a few months ago, which was likely unenforceable, used that terminology. The law that is now in effect does not. I posted the text verbatim from the law. It specifies exactly what a business is not allowed to do. Anything not explicitly prohibited by the law is allowed.Nope. You’re splitting hairs. You can ask if someone is vaccinated; you cannot ask for proof as that would constitute a “vaccine passport,” or substantially similar.
Do you own a public-facing business in Florida? You are wrong. 100% wrong. I'm not splitting hairs. Nothing in the written law says anything about a "vaccine passport." I posted the text. Well if you and I are smart enough to figure it out, so should they.“Us” was a generalization. I did everything I was supposed to do and continue to do it. But I also understand why the people who don’t are hesitant.
I will definitely agree with you on thatWell if you and I are smart enough to figure it out, so should they.
Wearing a mask and mask mandates: Wearing a shower cap in a swimming pool to keep your feet dry.
Add the virus is de-evolving… more communicable, less dangerous. Yes the case count is up, but the rate of hospitalization and deaths are nonexistent. Covid is with us forever my friends…
The most cluelessly unaware of reality statement I've seen in this whole thread.Wearing a mask and mask mandates: Wearing a shower cap in a swimming pool to keep your feet dry.

Please don't confuse posters with facts.Florida is literally at its record for hospitalizations and could easily have 0% capacity in the next ten days. Please do research.
You guys do know that 'social distancing' came from a 14 y/o's science project that some faceless gov't drone thought was a dandy idea with no double blind testing it just 'seemed like a good idea' No scientific proof of efficacy.
Social distancing born in ABQ teen's science project
Laura Glass’ award-winning science fair project was the subject of a Journal story in 2006. The Albuquerque High sophomore’s research later became the basis for social distancing.www.abqjournal.com

Might have to do with the fact I work with radio waves and fly an airplane both are entirely dependent upon the laws of physics. Radio waves have rules of propagation, and airplanes will stall if the angle of attack is too great and the airflow is no longer flowing around the leading edge and chord line of the airfoil. Neither cares about the motives of the person doing this they simply follow natural laws that cannot be broken
So how do the cruise lines get away with it then? They absolutely are checking for vaccine cards, in Florida, before you get on a ship.Nope. You’re splitting hairs. You can ask if someone is vaccinated; you cannot ask for proof as that would constitute a “vaccine passport,” or substantially similar.
And we all know how well certain people do with the honor system.
Again, in limited exceptions where I’ve known and trusted the person for years, we’ve done that. But that’s not something I can put into a policy; and it wouldn’t be evenly applied by different employees.
I am no longer making exceptions with Delta crazy here. (Oh, well. I even went to the gym for a few weeks. That’s over.)
They’re not requiring proof to go onto the ship. They’re saying that if you voluntarily show your card you don’t have to pay proactive fees (I think) and can go in certain designated areas. So how do the cruise lines get away with it then? This provides a bit of detail for the US ones. first few minutes. They’re not requiring proof to go onto the ship. They’re saying that if you voluntarily show your card you don’t have to pay proactive fees (I think) and can go in certain designated areas.
Exactly, here is the relevant section of the Florida law. A business cannot deny a service or entry based on vaccination status, but this leaves to door open to applying the vaccination status in other ways, like charging more if you are not vaccinated. They’re not requiring proof to go onto the ship. They’re saying that if you voluntarily show your card you don’t have to pay proactive fees (I think) and can go in certain designated areas.
