We’re driving and we really dont like wdw transportation. The $$$ for parking is worth it in our book. Then I don’t have to wait on anyone else...If flying you'll still need them for that

Source? No. That’s public transit. This isn’t that. Disney could choose to mandate masks if they want.
The law...it applies to public transit. Disney does not receive federal funding for its transit system, so it can make its own policies.Source?
No, because it isn't public transportation.Disney transportation would still fall under the mask rule no matter what correct?
I don’t think funding makes a difference. Not sure why you think it does.Magical Express may be different since it goes to an airport and I don’t know the intricacies of Mears funding.
Funding makes all the difference. That is literally how public transit is defined. Federal funding in this case.I don’t think funding makes a difference. Not sure why you think it does.
Mears would certainly fall under TSA - Disney transport since it remains on private property maybe not although I thought some of the reedy creek roads were considered public? Not sure how that all boils down.
?Mears would certainly fall under TSA
I think it is fully-private but don’t now the intricacies of their funding. The now-defunct bag collection might have technically used some federal dollars?
According to tsa “over the road buses” - that would surely apply to mears? (Mears Airport to Disney, not mears only on Disney property).
Meanwhile, half the people walking around MCO on Monday didn’t wear masks until security, all Covid-related announcements are gone, and there are almost no hand sanitizer stations left. Any enforcement from MCO would be half-hearted.According to tsa “over the road buses” - that would surely apply to mears? (Mears Airport to Disney, not mears only on Disney property).
Would you think the CDC will wait till (the majority) of schools in the country are out for the summer. While there is some areas that have started to get out, we aren't to the point where the majority have gotten out. I would think the CDC will wait till at least a majority are out as to not cause confusion (I know they could set a date, like July 1st).
I just read something similar, when the CDC director responded to a question about if they will be relaxing rules for masks with children “I think we will. We are looking at the evidence now and we will be coming out with that guidance, soon to come.” but she also said in same interview “We’ve said through the school year of ‘20 to ‘21 that our school guidance was not going to change,” which makes me think they want to wait till more school calendars for 20-21 have ended.

The CDC can say what it wants, but workers on the ground need to enforce the rules. Airports certainly fall within its jurisdiction but lots of blind eyes are being turned.wait...when did the cdc remove the TSA location caveat?
The TSA rule says nothing about how the transportation is funded. It does say “over the road buses” - I’m not sure if Disney roads count as roads because they are on Disney property.I think it is fully-private but don’t now the intricacies of their funding. I don’t believe TSA regulates anything away from airports but the CDC order only applies to public transit, which is defined as transit receiving federal funding. The TSA rule says nothing about how the transportation is funded. Is Universal requiring masks on buses and boats to the parks? Their website suggests not.According to the cdc -
“What is a public transportation conveyance?
A public transportation conveyance is any mode of transportation other than a private vehicle. Types of public transportation conveyances include airplanes, trains, subways, buses, taxis, ride-shares, maritime transportation, trolleys, and cable cars.”

The only reason I wouldn’t be shocked to see masks stay for transportation is that Disney would also like to cram the buses full. It may be too much, too soon, to shove 60 people on a bus AND unmask. And they need the capacity desperately.Right. And Disney transportation consists of private vehicles run by a private entity (Disney). Multiple people riding in them doesn't make them public.
Edit: I wouldn't be surprised to see Disney continue to mandate masks on their transportation for the time being. Just that @MansionButler84 is correct that the CDC recommendation doesn't technically apply here.
