are you nuts? partnering with AI giants is basically turbo boosts for investor relations.Absolutely tone-deaf choice by Iger and the Company here. The public sentiment with AI has definitely turned against it.

First ten years was pretty goodHe was a heck of a CEO 10-20 years ago.
Whats useless? Polling and surveys? Generally they do a decent job (especially a noted company like Pew) at taking good cross sections and fairly representing the data. It’s useless.
RIFare you nuts? partnering with AI giants is basically turbo boosts for investor relations.
Stockholm Syndrome…mostly…I don't understand why people still love Iger as CEO
Until this all crashes in on itself. Hopefully TWDC doesn't continue to push money into it.are you nuts? partnering with AI giants is basically turbo boosts for investor relations.
The collapse will start sometime in 2026.How deep will the AI grift go before the pop?
I heard the same thing in the late 90s about ECommerce and Web2.0, and here we are 30ish years later. The collapse will start sometime in 2026.
What a terrible take. (Not surprising from you…)
Just like the Parks and The Studios, milk it for everything it’s got while utterly destroying decades of brand building, franchises development, and quality, all for extremely short term gains!
It’s the Bob way.
No. It just allows AI slop to be monetized by Disney. This is a terrible take.
The AI genie is out of the bottle, there is no putting it back in. What would you have Disney do? Try to avoid it or prevent it from happening? Come on, that is like trying to put a band-aid on an already broken dam that is already flooding the town below it.
No, better to try to help foster where it goes by having a seat at the table. While then being able to control who has access to Disney IP and try to stop any potential issues before they start.
I'm not talking about the existence of LLMs. I'm talking about the bubble propping up the stock market lead by nVidia's ridiculous stock price. The entire market is basically being driven by that single stock. And when they can no longer sell data centers overpriced chips and cards, thats when the collapse starts. You really think OpenAI needs a TRILLION dollars of additional investment? And even then it won't have a way to be profitable.I heard the same thing in the late 90s about ECommerce and Web2.0, and here we are 30ish years later.
Things will change, and some will not survive, but AI is here to stay. The current AI is just built onto of what has been around for decades. So to say its going to collapse starting next year doesn't understand what it really is. That is the "fear" surrounding the buzz words and buying into some headlines.
You’re the same one still believing that the golden age of streaming is still here.I heard the same thing in the late 90s about ECommerce and Web2.0, and here we are 30ish years later.

Oh good I thought it was the only one that has seen this movie already. The collapse will start sometime in 2026.
Well I've made a 30+ year career around some of that "fad". So yeah something tells me this isn't just some fly by the night "fad" that you think it is.You’re the same one still believing that the golden age of streaming is still here.
It’s a fad that has captured the Zeitgeist of society. Just like streaming and cloud, computing, etc. grab the attention of the financial markets years ago, this is the same thing.
Hence why I said that "things will change, some will not survive". Yes that bubble will pop, as it has in many many bubbles before it, but the idea that it'll cause AI to no longer be used is a fallacy that some are buying into.I'm not talking about the existence of LLMs. I'm talking about the bubble propping up the stock market lead by nVidia's ridiculous stock price. You don't know what you're talking about here.No one cares about cloud services or streamers anymore. It doesn’t guide people’s investments. It’s just a utility.
See DotCom... but know what? Things corrected and everything built in that time actually became the foundation for the next era of rising tide.I'm not talking about the existence of LLMs. I'm talking about the bubble propping up the stock market lead by nVidia's ridiculous stock price.
