I made this comment before when Iger announced AI user generated content would be coming to D+......

If you can't beat em, join em.

The AI age is here, it’s not going away. The current fascination with it might be a bubble, but it’s here to stay. And it makes sense for Disney to have a seat at the table in order to help foster it for the future.
What a terrible take. (Not surprising from you…)

Just like the Parks and The Studios, milk it for everything it’s got while utterly destroying decades of brand building, franchises development, and quality, all for extremely short term gains!

It’s the Bob way.

We should probably differentiate between what I consider to be legit AI (not that I am 100% a fan of this either) used in business, science, etc. and AI-generated content (aka, trash).
AI has its uses, but this kind of **** isn't one of them.

Localizations, translations, summaries, etc. Sure. Creating a video of you holding hands with Mickey is the definition of AI slop.

The AI genie is out of the bottle, there is no putting it back in. What would you have Disney do? Try to avoid it or prevent it from happening? Come on, that is like trying to put a band-aid on an already broken dam that is already flooding the town below it.

No, better to try to help foster where it goes by having a seat at the table. While then being able to control who has access to Disney IP and try to stop any potential issues before they start.
