i guessing that is what happen...lol

Not luck, skill and knowledge of photography. If you know there is lightning in the area, set your camera on a tripod, close down your aperture, and open the shutter until the first flash of lightning. Reset, and wait for the next flash. Do as many times as you want (or can), and then print the best looking. This was a skilled photographer.
