Now I realize when Iger said turbocharged he meant building DVCs.
Disney can build fast when they really want to!
And this does count as expanding WDW!

I don't know, all these pictures the cranes are sleeping, the excavators are silent and not a soul not even a security person is stirring. Maybe they only hired nocturnals for this jobNow I realize when Iger said turbocharged he meant building DVCs.

Random thought but I wonder if Disney knows there is a very nice neighborhood just a few miles away from this project that is called Lakeshore. I was talking to someone the other day that mentioned this to me so I had to look it up. Maybe they can rename this hotel again to something else.

Last official update from Disney was November 2024. The hotel is set to open in 2027

Technically, now with LL, they could say that about new attractions...... I know, I know it doesn't work that way.. Disney will drag their feet on attractions.....
The parks are already profitable. So getting a project done fast isn't as urgent.
But, perhaps, as you say, the ability to add ILLs will change that.

In reading some of the comments, it sounds like this will be clearly visible from the shores of The Wilderness Lodge. Is that right? My geographic knowledge of that area is fuzzy
It will be, it's going to be a 9 story building.
