Watch out for falling oversized balloons
I think this is one of those it's so bad that it's good. If it can make people laugh and be entertained for it being a hot mess then it's all good LOL!

Even though I shared goofy pictures of it, I never hated the idea of this show. It's a fine offering that puts a show for people walking by to watch.
Looks like it happened right about here, 5:15:
Sadly it's compressed to hell but the awkward music stop confirms it.
Even for a kite show what Disney come up with here for that theater especially is a complete failure in design and show and is embarrassing Disney qualityAs goofy as it all looks, i think the park are on to something here. Had they gone down the more traditional route and used Raya & the last dragon theme/story, they could have had something that looked really quite impressive.

I agree with you 100% on this. The "kites" that look like parade floats just don't do anything for me at all.As goofy as it all looks, i think the park are on to something here. Some things are so bad they’re good. This is one of them. It might be worth $100 alone to watch giant Disney characters crash into concrete seating areas and for the thrill of watching boats flip and such. This is actually hilarious. It's so bad it's good.
I mean, the pinnacle of Disney entertainment this is not, but there is something fun about seeing giant character kites soaring above the water. And watching them face plant into the Asia stands after each segment is rather funny; you could tell the crowd was as into that as anything else.
I do like the idea behind the show of kites, characters, and storytelling. Be great to see this given a bigger budget and a more elaborate (evening?) show created around this concept.

Anyone know what the unforeseen circumstances were? Bad feedback perhaps? lol

Well it is a vast sinkhole so yesFirst Rivers of Light's technical issues, then The Jungle Book: Alive With Magic being awkward and very short-lived, and now KiteTails frequently having kites of Disney Character falling and getting stuck? Is the Discovery River Lagoon cursed or something?
No but the designers of all those shows may be cursing DisneyFirst Rivers of Light's technical issues, then The Jungle Book: Alive With Magic being awkward and very short-lived, and now KiteTails frequently having kites of Disney Character falling and getting stuck?
