Those calendars line up with about what I was expecting, with most partial blocked days letting you into Epcot. Except they have an error, the overall calendar shows April vacation fully blocked (somewhat expected) but the breakout calendars for DHS and Epcot don't show it blocked.

I must have mistakenly forgot them. They are in the overall days calendar.

At a quick glance, the same days are blocked out for Easter/Summer/Christmas in both and it seems more days are blocked out with Theme Park Select. For the same price, why would I want Theme Park Select? I'll stick with Silver, thank you.

If they could then blackout food and wine...I’m all for it.

I love Florida residents...but their obsession with festivals have contributed to a lot of Epcot and resort problems.

Eh, locals aren't really the ones causing trouble or crowding at F&W. We also don't tend to care to drink around the world.

Then why has every timeshare room been booked thursday-Monday solid for 2 months in the “low” season for a decade?

I don’t blame locals for much...they get abused....but this I do.

It’s shielded some backlash to the neglect at Epcot and its driven resort and DVC pricing. Just a hunch...from where the data was trending when it wasn’t a “hunch”

Why would timeshare rooms have anything to do with locals? We have houses and apartments. :joyfull:

I do believe the highest number of DVC member still Hail from the dangling chad state....

The “long weekend” phenomena was known long ago...the crowd only intensified since.

It’s not the only reason...but overzealous behavior to the beer booths has been a longterm Epcot problem.

Now the IP is moving in...I wonder what could have been without the “crutch”??

They wouldn't necessarily be locals though, lots of people come down from neighboring states and from outside of CFL. I wouldn't consider anyone that's not within 50 miles of the parks to be local.

Granted...”regionals”...not entirely locals.

My premise here is this: regionals disproportionately patronize Epcot festivals...and that has allowed the neglected Park to limp along when their should have been a DCA crisis 10+ years ago. Perhaps the work started in the 90’s May have been followed through with?

We’ll never know
