I hear it's part of the new 5th gate. In actuality, it'll just be a big pole building / warehouse with no themeing. You'll never notice though as you get in your little floaty chair and have personal screens and food shovled into you all day.
Yaaay, Another DDP option that can be discussed endlessly as to whether its a bargain or not. Now is there going to be a refillable mug included in that plan that can be used on successive trips too? :D

I would like one for Epcot and yes I have no disabilities, it's just a lot of walking in Epcot.

So now there will be another way people can "drink and drive" around the world at EPCOT!!!

It's about time that WDW has their "international police force" out and ticketing through the countries.

It's all fun and games until someone drinks, drives and drowns in the lagoon.

There are bumpers? Seriously? Bumpers?

The current ECV's have bumpers and some of the operators have tried them out on my ankles. Believe me, the bumpers don't help.

I know there are people who really need these (and I fully support that) but all I can picture is obese people with turkey legs riding these around the parks.

No. Those people will not want to stand, they are going to want to sit.

According to ADA Section 35.137, subsection C - Mobility Devices
(1) Inquiry about disability. A public entity shall not ask an individual using a wheelchair or other power-driven mobility device questions about the nature and extent of the individual's disability.

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV nor the Internet, but this sounds pretty clear. I would be curious of your interpretation.

Disney isn't a public entity, and they also own all of the private property they 'govern'.

Pl
ease see my other posts I am very well versed in te ADA. Not the point I was nak not the point I was making I am we'll versed in the ADA. Someone suggested that the availability of these devices be challenged by Disney and how ADA is applicable in the parks. Disney I I. Trouble right now for several violations of other kinds and I do not think they want to rock any boats. To answer your question about why they would do this no questions asked is simple 100% profit on the rentals.

As a discrimination attorney and federal law clerk with over a decade of experience, I am also very well versed in the ADA, and my shorthand description of it was not meant to suggest that anyone else's description was lacking, or to criticize your comments in any way. I was "jumping off" of your comment, not disputing it.

Common with Sciatic nerve problems. Why on earth you would go to a theme park with back problems is a whole other question???

It depends on the back problem and how badly that family member wants to spend time with their children or grandchildren at Disney World.
