Disney in the future?

I think you will see many additional resorts opening up outside the USA with at least one more in mainland China. I would think that Russia, India and Brazil will be the next counties looking to open Disney Resorts. Marvel will continue to bring money into Disney with movies and Disneyland Resort will get a 3rd gate based on Marvel Super Heroes. Disney Vacation Club will expand outside the US and open timeshares at Paris Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland and/or one of the new resorts.

I see other countries getting parks before a 5th gate is added (or 3rd gate). I can see MK getting another major addition like FLE and DHS getting a some love too.

And sadly I see DVC taking over the entire resort. I think in 10 years it will be difficult to go to WDW and not stay at a DVC resort.

Actually, I heard Disney tried to open a park in Russia and the Russian government was not interested. Something about not wanting a big companies running in their country. Russia doesn't really like big companies. They'd prefer such a park to be made up of multiple little companies than one big company.
I used to talk with a Russian online. she said they're actually not big on fantasy getaway types of entertainment and actually prefer something more on the edutainment side. In fact, if Disney wanted to appeal to Russians with a theme park, they'd be better off with an Epcot than a Magic Kingdom. And above all this, I doubt your average Russian could afford a Disney trip anyway :/

My wife and I were discussing this on our recent trip. As an entity the park is still new....as are most businesses really. Most things we take for granted are less than 100 years old as a brand or company. Disney could make a horrible mis-step and be bought up and auctioed off or closed or continue to make the right choices and grow and expand. What makes me saddest of all (and blows my mind) is that in 100 years we'll all be gone and there will be an entirely new group of people in those parks and on these boards. The probability is tha at that time the parks are going to be beyond awesome and we're all going to miss it. And people will look at our old photos and videos and say "Oh my look how the park used to look! Can you believe people were entertained by such simplicity?! I mean the Country Bears aren't even real talking bears bred especially by Disney Labds just for the attraction."
It is equally as awe inspiring that the human race is so old and we have no recorded history for most of it. Who knows what has come and gone....but now with media and the internet we hve a record of it all. It is very likely that Disney will be here in 1,000 years. And if you think about that consider that probably EVERYTHING will have to be replaced and/or rebuilt just due to age....a new Cinderella Castle, a new Magic Kingdom (all new lands...all new buildings....all new monorails and hotels).
