I've been to WDW many times but never really in August. At least not for about 4 years or so. How are the crowds and the lines? Also, are the groups from Brazil still invading WDW or are they gone by now?

Haha, although i may not be able to confirm if the Brazillian tourists will still be there or not (which I doubt...August starts fall, no?), if it's anything like it has been for the past month or two here in Florida, expect random rain showers here and there. But nothing too badly.

Crowds should be dying down by then, as all of the summer kids start slowly lugging back home for school in August.

Crowds should be improved a little bit by August as the earlier poster said. The biggest worry you should have will be the temperature. It's going to be sweltering out there!:fork:

It seems like I've only ever seen Brazilian tour groups in Animal Kingdom. They are always wearing those bright yellow tshirts and holding signs up in the air, so odd.

You will probably get your wish! Should be hot and muggy with daily thunder storm during your time in the state.

Our group will be there TOMORROW!!!! whoo hooo (can you tell I am excited???). According to the weather website it will actually be cooler at WDW than home..a whopping 3-5 degrees! I am planning on crowds, going early to the EMH mornings, taking a afternoon swim/rest and back in early evenings!

I live in Texas and with all the rain we have had it is very humid. Maybe not as bad as Florida but we are going to be in the 100s next week (which is really late for us as we are usually in the 100s by early July). The heat is can take... lots of water and a personal fan! Only 12 more days for me!!!!

We've gone in August our last 3 trips! I've never been bothered by crowd size, we easily get everything done. Also, it's pretty hot but when i think back on our trips, i don't have many memories of us just complaining about the heat. If you understand it's going to be quite warm... you'll be fine.

Also, i live just outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada.. and with the humidity, today feels like 102 degrees!! I keep telling my family we need to get outside for practice! Only 9 more days and we'll be at the Beach Club!

We go every year since 1991 in August and have never seen any tour groups, Brazillian or otherwise. It is very hot, but as long as you stay hydrated you should be ok. As everyone says Drink lots of water and if you can take a break during the day. Have a great trip

This year marks the first time in 10 years that I will not be making a trip to Disney in August. The lines are pretty manageable during this time of the season, as the summer crowds are beginning to die out and attendance in the parks dwindles down. Every once in awhile, you will hit some tough waits, but what is Disney without some waiting?? The temperature is typically hot, yet a Florida rain shower will briefly cool off guests in the parks. As far as Brazilian tour groups, part of the Disney experience is pressing your luck with "other" guests!
