See now this one of the those people I would have had to have said...
"so tell me what you like so much about C&W music..." ;)

See a "Hatter" engages a convo and makes friends...

A "hater" would been like..."Country what??? Website who...??? Yeah whatever dude..let me get back to my Doh bar"
LOL.Yeh,the cowboy dude had a cool Stetson and awesome accent. We had a good conversation about asking the Country bears to back us in a sing- a- long.Yee Haw.

Loving Disney is like being apart of a club, all the haters..well they just aren't invited. TAKE THAT HATERS! :Dmuahah. But on a serious note, I never understand how people can hate Disney.. I mean besides the obvious magicalness of it, it has something for everyone. The rides are fun for everyone, rollercoasters, slow rides etc. scenary is amazing, great food, and it's just...SO DAMN MAGICAL! people are crazy

I know a fair amount of Disney haters. I get comments like 'how sad, it's for kids!' or 'i don't understand the appeal, i'll never go'. Well, if you haven't been and you don't know what it's like, then don't pass judgement.
Unfortunately a number of my friends only have DLP to go by. One work friend has been to DLP but has no desire to go back or go to any of the other parks. I just don't get it. I think it depends on how open minded you are about it, and who you go with. If you go with someone who is just determinded to go 'i can see the strings!' 'that's a guy in a suit!' and all that crap, then that's all you're going to see when you next visit.
I thankfully have 2 magically minded parents who introduced me to the World, so I'm well and truely plugged into the magic. The husband is taking a while to convince. He's more a white knuckle kind of person. He has however told me to tell you all that he is at least 'willing to go' with me, so he wants brownie points. He'd much rather spend the entire trip at Universal I'm sure, but I shall convince him one day that Disney is superior. I've given up on everyone else though.
They're the kind of people who think I'm too old to play computer games, and I'm sad because I like sci - fi like Star Trek/Wars/Gate and I'm sad because I own a DS and stuff. Yet it's me they turn to when their computer has frozen on Facebook and the boss is coming down the corridor.

What a sad bunch. I am of the firm belief that we should do what makes us happy. And Disney makes me happy! So does Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Harry Potter, and I get looks of pity for those too. Oh well.

That just reminded me of something random.
I went to WDW by myself in August of 2010, at the same time that Star Wars Celebration V was going on. On the flight home, I had my DS with a couple of games, and a book. I was sitting next to a couple of young guys who were all decked out in SW gear and talked about the convention the whole flight. As we were getting ready to get off the plane, one of them commented to me that they were impressed that I had brought a DS on a plane. Looking back, I'm not sure if they were picking on me or trying to hit on me :p but I had just played it off, saying you never know when the need for Rhythm Heaven will strike. In my head I was thinking "Really? You're going to pick on me for a DS when you went to a SW convention?" Of course, I didn't mention that I had just been to WDW for a long weekend by myself...

Anyway, back to Disney... No one has really been a "hater" when it comes to me talking about Disney, but that's probably because I don't really talk to people about it unless they ask. My boyfriend's step-mother is a huge Disney nerd too (she grew up going to Disneyland all the time) so she's my go-to gal for Disney talk.

Work all think I am obsessed with Disney , which to be fair is true, but it's all in jest. I do however have a very snobby sister in law who thinks I am strange for taking my four year old daughter to DLRP, and for planning to go to wdw next year. Her children have never been, which is a shame as they love all the movies and most theme parks. I have however converted my inlaws , partner, and that is good enough for me. As a previous poster said if everyone converted we wouldnt be able to step through those gates !

Would be nice if everyone was sensitive to other people s view and outlook on life, it would make the world a much nicer place to live in!

We try to go to WDW every year. Just my DH and I, we have no kids. People always say try somewhere else. But those are the same people who go to same beach, camp ground, or lake every year.........

Do any of you know people like this? People whose goal in life is to be negative about all Disney things that make you smile? :(

I use to do that to people who liked Hannah Montana and Jonas Bros when I was in middle school!:p

But to answer your question, I don't really have that problem because I usually keep the Disney fandom to myself, most of the new stuff that's came out recently from the company has been meh IMO. (With the exception of Toy Story 3, Avengers, Kingdom Hearts 3DS, and everything from the parks.)
