No public swimming area/pool may be filled with uncloreanated water or from a standing water source AKA a lake.due to the bacteria and specifically the enema.Winch breads in hot areas it can get into your bran and can kill you.

I always try to keep my enema away from my bran too.

Pulled this off a site about the winter lights this guy sums it up nicely and goes for everything just not the lights. Sad but true My memory's of Disney can never be repeated sad My kids will never get to go in their youth maybe when they have their own kids but going as a kid nothing compares to that.I used to go ever year with my grandparents in the winter months
we camped in camp wilderness for 25$ a night in the camper took the ferry to the MK..NO way I could ever afford to take my family 3 kids me and the wife airfare ect..Last time i went in 95 i stayed off site in motel 6 for 35$ a night.Party hard at pleasure island and met a great girl to hang out with the last few days...

I can assure you that NO MONEY is made off of the lights, so they’re gone! ALL entities, rides, etc must pay for themselves in 10′s or 100s of PERCENT to last. In other words, if Candlight Processional didn’t net over $3000000/month, it’d be gone, with the sappy little singers with it! Disney is about money. Shareholders. It is not about pleasing guests and the ‘experience’ anymore. Sorry to burst bubbles. Look for many more shops, and many less ‘frills’ in the coming years. In fact, expect at least half of the rides to be ‘outdated’ that don’t support at least 1000 times their operating costs in merchandise. Grim reality. Don’t be so naive. If you don’t like it, there’s plenty of sheep standing in line to buy $20 t-shirts provided FREE to Disney

If an attraction becomes "outdated" and no longer sells merchandise, then wouldn't Disney update every ride so it would sell/promote merchandise? I don't remember the last time Small World had merchandise flying off the shelf. Or Space mountain. Or Jungle Cruise. Disney loves selling the goods, but I think for the most part, attractions are to get you in the door.

The amoeba thing is an urban legend. That is not why it was closed. Search here as it has been discussed many times.

Does the monorail at DL also shut down one hour after the parks close or is this just WDW?

There's no evening EMH there and it's not a mode of transportation there. I would expect that if it doesn't close at park closing, it would close an hour afterwards.

Also, I added the fire on Tom Sawyer's Island to the first page

My last time there the monorail departing Tomorrowland shutdown about 15 minutes to a half an hour prior to park closing. Not sure if that was normal or not.

I was thinking about that too. I think I have some passes in a photo album. I wonder if there are any days left. I think they would have to honor them since they were sold with no expiry date. Worth a shot at $89 a day.
They will give you a new ticket without question at guest services outside any park. I still had a day left on my sons child ticket from 1991 hopper multi day pass. He went down a day early before starting his job, went to GS and they printed him out an adult hopper ticket with, have a Magical Day. He went solo through 3 parks on that day courtesy of his very old child ticket.

Dear Disney,

I received your 50 page brochure in the mail today. It looks like you put in quite the effort with this booklet. It's on thick glossy paper with vibrant colors and dare I say it exceeds the production quality of the D23 Magazine. I wanted to emphasize that this did not go unnoticed. Personally, I think this is far more persuasive to get me to renew my annual pass than actually putting this money into things that guests don't care about. For clarification, what I mean by "things guests don't care about" is that list of items on page one of this thread. Guests never point to the little details when explaining or even defending their purchase of a Disney annual pass. These guests always point to a well crafted, 100% genuine sales pitch sent through the mail. To invest in these "small details" and "entertainment options" that some might refer to as "loss leaders" is inadvisable. Clearly these sorts of things don't lead to direct ticket sales in the same quantifiable manner that a direct mailer clearly does. I would like to congratulate you on a job well done.

Sincerely,
Tim

That just isn't true. I personally know one family who gave up their Christmas trips because Disney pulled the lights and Christmas Country Bears...but the lights were the last straw. And I (me, personally) bought a Disney Christmas video because Disney had a picture of the LoW on the back of it. There really wasn't any coverage of it, so the video was unfulfilling, disappointing and IMO, false advertising...but I bought it just for the lights.

You cannot say the lights brought in no money. Perhaps the accountants don't know it, but rides and lights and all that stuff that doesn't have people shelling out EXTRA dough...it brings in money. Heads in beds. Tickets purchased. Meals eaten. Videos and other crap (like Christmas trees in little tubes, ornaments, et cetera) bought.

When they take stuff away that people like, it does cost them money. They're just too dumb to see it.

I've said this before, but if shopping, dining and M&Gs were really the money makers, they could just shut down the rides and turn all the parks into that. Then they could be wealthy beyond their wildest dreams!

They just can't fill the place by cutting back. Or by adding screens. And the fewer people there, the less money spent on the all-important F&B, room revenue, merchandise...

Duh, right?

To the person who said that It's A Small World doesn't bring Disney any revenue, may I point out that Disney has just paired with LeSportSac purses and is offering IASW print purses starting at $78 on TheDisneyStore.com? Any way they can make a buck. Not that I'm complaining. I love IASW and I'll probably be getting one of the purses, lol.

Welcome to the forum!

If for no other reason IASW makes Disney money because I love it and it is part of why I go to WDW. IASW is one of the rides I must do each time! From the Shermann song to the gorgeous 1960s Blair design, the ride is pure classic gold.

Totally agreed. Let's face it, most of us don't go to WDW for the new cutting edge attractions. It's the classics that keep us coming back. Of course if they built some new cutting edge attractions I doubt we would complain;).
