Imagine international visitors- family of 4 in UK school holidays come for 2 weeks, have paid $13000 for flights and hotel, $2000 for tickets. Is it seriously been suggested they will then be paying a couple of thousand on top for fastpass?

I think at this point WDW is the only Disney resort not to have paid FP as an option for anyone who wants to buy it.

It's only a matter of time.

Genie is still moving forward and is designed to generate revenue, so paid FP is still my guess. I’ll post the most recent job listing for it shortly.

Here's the text of the job posting. Sorry for the formatting - I re-did it from cache. Genie is highlighted in blue.

Thanks for sharing. It’s interesting, you would think that all the backend tech stuff is one of the areas they can actually work on for the parks during this time because it can be done remotely.

Paid FP's......for what?

Assuming all parks will be operational by the time the dust settles you won't need a FP, paid or not paid.

Once we all start moving around again aint nobody got extra money for trips and vacations, as a whole. Places like WDW will be the last to eat at the trough.

Do you really think you'll need reservations for California Grill after we come out of hibernation? Get real.....expect signage like Rainforest Cafe over at Animal Kingdom placed at the park exit to draw in guests to an fairly empty restaurant.

So Paris just has paid Fast Passes and that’s it?

No. DLP has a hybrid system.

It has the old fashioned paper FP system, where you can get a new one either once you’ve used one or after an hour (I believe) - whichever is soonest.

Plus it has a three tier paid FP system on top of that:
- a selected group of FPs, with a choice such as “family rids” or “thrill rides”
- one FP per ride per day (so one FP for Big Thunder, one for Pirates, one for Space Mtn etc)
- unlimited FPs per day(so you could ride Big Thunder over and over if you wanted)

No advance FPs at all.

5th gate? Just build a new resort Bob.

Yes. Within like 3-6 months. It's a mess but it doesn't have to be cataclysmic; if the government(s) prop up their citizens correctly, everyone can collect enough income to make it work for now and then go back to the job they previously had whenever this has passed.

It's only a matter of time.

30 Day FP+ is free.

60 Day FP+ isn't free. It's packaged with staying at a Disney or Disney-related resort.

90 Day FP+ isn't free. It's packaged with Club Level at select Disney resorts plus a fee.

Under “following confidential products” they list “Wakanda” right next to Genie. Does anyone know what that is referring to? Is it a new app/website? I’ve never heard of that before.
