Disney Fireworks

I'll keep this in mind. It sounds like it would be cool to watch. How about the noise factor? Does it sound like a cannon going off right next to your ear?:dazzle:

Haha. Yep, a cannon and gunshots, and thunder. It'll hurt your ears a bit. But it's totally worth the experience. Just make sure you see wishes a least once on Main Street, because in Fantasyland you will actually between two layers of fireworks as the larger ones are set off behind the park.

They seem to be right behind the castle, but I don't think so.

Actually the Railroad does not run during the parades as the parade needs to cross the tracks to get on stage.

We do run *during* parades; we DON'T run during SaDCT (about ten minutes) while they're crossing in Frontierland. That's all. We DO run during Spectro, as the parade steps off from Main Street, and the floats are already across the tracks and backstage behind Main Street. When Spectro gets to Frontierland, one of two things happens:

We try and get that last train through that crossing before the parade gets there;

Or two - our Crossing CM will coordinate with the Parade (Entertainment) CMs at Frontierland to hold the floats so we can get through.

We shut down the trains an hour before the fireworks. We've had situations before where the debris has set the woods on the backstretch on fire, so that's why we don't run *during* the fireworks. We've also had situations where Reedy Creek has called us "clear" after the fireworks, only for us to get onto the backstretch and run across burning trees...LOL...thing about that is, Reedy Creek is *right there* behind ToonTown...how can you miss a fire - at night - burning *right* behind your fire station?? LOLOL

FINALLY! Someone who actually knows has cleared this up for us!

Thanks for making your first or second post this great and helpful. I knew about the fireworks thing, due to fallout, but I thought they actually stopped during parades - my bad! Do they refrain from blowing the whistle and ringing the bell at main Street during the parade, so as not to disrupt it, or do you still do all that?

Thank you so much. I knew something during the parades happened, but wasn't sure what. Maybe they should install sprinklers on the backstretch and set them off just like in fantasyland.

They do have sprinklers that come on in and around the launch site, but I guess they don't have them in the woods behind the railroad.
