Remind me- was this Zenia Muchacha’s replacement?

Nope. She was Chief Communications Officer. This guy was a Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. Seems similar but different.

He was touted as her replacement, but in a newly created role that expanded into government relations, which was part the duties of outgoing Alan Braverman.

After Chapek was announced as CEO I believe the top legal guy Braveman and Zenia the PR chief both reporting to Iger, both submitted their resignations. How highly touted incoming execs ( Morrell ) have falling hard, quickly. One key of a good PR chief is to keep the dirty laundry when possible in the company from going public and Zenia did a good job at that. Zenia protected the Disney brand and was feared and respected.

Either he lost confidence in Chapek or chapek lost confidence in him. Regardless, an exit is the result in both cases.

Could you elaborate ? Also if by cupcake you mean a Disney one no thanks. I find them kind of gross and over the top. I would prefer the hours long virtual que wait for a treat from Gideon's Bakehouse or an Everglazed DOnut.
You might want to sit down for this.

Serious question why does everyone hate Chapek so much?
Hate is a strong word…

He is wholly unqualified for his position. He’s a hang around type in products - which is the absolute bottom of the corporate food chain.

But it’s Bob Iger’s fault. Who had no competent, viable execs under him and left in a panic when he thought the stock market was gonna tank. Violating one of the stipulations to his job that he agreed to when Roy and Evil Michael Eisner permitted him to have it.

…other than that…no reasons.

Much of Eisner’s early successes were built on Miller’s work.
Some was…

But you gotta let the “Michael stole my binkie!!” Stuff go.

There is little legitimate case for the hate that is still tossed his way. They went from rather piddly to the very top of the mountain with him. Mistakes were made - as with spray tan Bob - but media and society was in transition during that change..

So it’s time to bury the past.

I don’t hate Chapek but I hate his changes:

Replacing free FP with paid genie+ = hate!
Park reservations = hate!
Eliminating magical express = hate!
Replacing APs that I cold use whenever I wanted with a Key system that has no weekend reservations available 2 months in advance = super major loathe hate!!
Delaying all the 50th anniversary rides = hate!
Industrial barges in Epcot = hate!

That’s not even touching on the still missing aspects of the parks like entertainment, trams, etc.

He’s been dealt a rough start with Covid but his solutions have been universally bad so far for the park guests.

just pointing out a funny thing: in 30 years there will be someone on wdwmagic defending chapek just like you're defending eisner now

"but he wasn't that bad! look at all the good he did!"
