Disney Enchantment fireworks returning to Magic Kingdom in 2024

This is interesting. Clearly the decision made to pull Enchantment wasn't based on the feelings of people on this forum. It must have tipped the scale enough in the wrong direction to cause Disney to pull it so quickly. So to then bring it back at an upcharge event is puzzling.

I assume the AH cost covers the fireworks and then some. And I am the 'if any'. With crowds not too bad, you probably won't have to line up an hour.
you would pay that amount just to see Enchantment again?

would you still attend the after hours event if they didn't show it?

Wow. Disney's inviting a direct comparison between the two.

I doubt the Imagineers who created Enchantment will get the vindication they're looking for.

Or... among all their nighttime shows, it's the only one that's projection-ready so as be throwing the After Hours folks a bone.

There are a lot of people who like Enchantment, contrary to what those online would have you believe. The sentiment of this forum isn't indicative of the whole. With that said, HEA is obviously more popular, but I don't understand the hate of bringing back Enchantment for an After Hours event. Wishes would probably require far more work for them and it's an easy win to have a different fireworks show at minimal work to sell tickets. They were charging the same for After Hours events at MK with no extra fireworks show before, so why are people so frustrated?
I don't get it either. DE isn't horrid!! It's certainly way above Mix Magic in my mind. Also, Steve was right in the fact that nothing is touching HEA. DE 2024 is for DAH with HEA before for Day and DAH Guests!

I'm Surprised MK actually wants to do more Fireworks with the way Regular Entertainment looks in MK...

Yes
Two firework shows in one night seems excessive, not only hugely costly but also not exactly environmentally friendly which is funny given Disney supposedly cares so much about being eco friendly (lol). Plus it seems to me Disney fans don't know what they want. People couldn't wait for Enchantment to go away and now I'm seeing social media abuzz with people claiming they are booking trips to specifically see the show again.. despite it being very subpar and HEA being far superior and it only went less than a year ago.. very odd.
I agree, they need to strap the explosives on endangered species before launching them.

Disney already created projections for Wishes (albeit for the first 3 mins of the show) for their Cast Member Service Appreciation show last year. They would just need to do the rest of the remaining 9 mins of the show..

Just thought of something interesting, since the 50th decorations are off the castle they have to redo the projections to fit, they might look better since they're changing it anyway.

They already have the projections without the decorations considering they were planning on the show lasting past the 50th.

It could of been Fantasy in the Sky when we went starting going in 2000, but not sure after that, but there were 2 shows on a regular basis then.

Nah. Being able to view Wishes! from many different locations without the insipid castle projections is a massive plus in my book.

I never recall that. I remember a schedule like:

SpectroMagic 9 pm and 11 pm with FitS at 10 pm (with everything moved up an hour in winter. Double fireworks was usually reserved for NYE.

What puzzles me here is that reviews among fans were so bad for DE that they were forced to update it during the 50th and STILL remove it 6 months ago. It’s a bit soon to be acting like a beloved classic is returning since it closed so recently.

I imagine the simplest explanation claimed earlier is the correct one—this is easy and cheap to show since all of its infrastructure still exists and is used. An older show like Wishes would require new visuals altogether. The fact that they have not expanded the projections for Not-So-Spooky suggests it’s pretty costly to do so.

And the fact that they DID update the projections for HEA suggests the DE reviews were bad enough to warrant paying for the update.

Imagine if they rolled out the zombiefied remains of HarmOdious for the Epcot DAH.

As it is, I have nightmares where Harm be like
