Here's our reader ratings for both shows:

Enchantment: 4.5 stars for pre-school and grade school; 4.0 stars from all other groups.
HEA: 4.5 from every age group except Young Adults, who rate it 5.0 stars.

So HEA is the higher-rated show.

I wonder, @wdwmagic or @marni1971, if Disney's planning any updates to Enchantment?
As far as I know it is the same show that ended with the 50th.

Can you say Steve which Version is returning?

I always liked the You Are The Magic theme song for the show, it was just the execution and creative choices that really blundered the show's potential. They took HEA's template and tried to copy it 1-for-1 not realizing that's a big mistep.

The pyro choices, synchronization, music, artistic choices, castle/MS projections, etc. all fell flat. The finale was a tad bit long imo with the chorus repeating two or three times.
Also the fact it had nothing to do with WDW/50th (it's original purpose). The only good thing it had going was using multiple launch sites for a nightly fireworks show, the lasers, and the fantastic use of lighting choreography.

Also this, lol.

There are a lot of people who like Enchantment, contrary to what those online would have you believe. The sentiment of this forum isn't indicative of the whole. With that said, HEA is obviously more popular, but I don't understand the hate of bringing back Enchantment for an After Hours event. Wishes would probably require far more work for them and it's an easy win to have a different fireworks show at minimal work to sell tickets. They were charging the same for After Hours events at MK with no extra fireworks show before, so why are people so frustrated?

for me because it's another dumb decision by Disney. It costs them money to put on this (extra) fireworks show and I don't see many if any going to it just to see it. The event only lasts 3 hours anyways... are people going to waste an hour of that lined up for their spot? I'd rather them lower the ticket price, but they can't do that.

I assume the AH cost covers the fireworks and then some. And I am the 'if any'. With crowds not too bad, you probably won't have to line up an hour.

Two firework shows in one night seems excessive, not only hugely costly but also not exactly environmentally friendly which is funny given Disney supposedly cares so much about being eco friendly (lol). Plus it seems to me Disney fans don't know what they want. People couldn't wait for Enchantment to go away and now I'm seeing social media abuzz with people claiming they are booking trips to specifically see the show again.. despite it being very subpar and HEA being far superior and it only went less than a year ago.. very odd.

I like Enchantment - just wasn't as good as HEA and didn't feel "special" as the 50th show (though a bit better after they added the Walt parts)

If this had come before HEA I think it would have been received better

Getting to see both in one night (and Enchantment with low crowds/no stress to find spot, etc) seems like a positive and a selling point to me (not a main driver, but a positive)
