My local Target also has Mickey Ravioli and Pooh Ravioli in the frozen section. (One is cheese, the other is meat, I think). I've also seen the Mickey burgers at the Super Target.
Call me a fool but if I see these eggs at my Publix...I'm buying them! And they'd be for me as my DD21 doesn't like eggs. I need to stimulate DIS revenue so my shares will get back above my buy-in price. Nahh...that's not really it...they just look cute!

I just saw these at Publix last night. They cost more for 12 than a regular container of 18. Why not go to a scrapbook store (although my man-club membership prohibits this for me personally) and buy a few Disney stamps? You could have Disney eggs until [bad pun alert] the rooster crows.

But really it just seems like a nother cheap, short sighted product that does nothing more than to dilute the brand and its image.

If anyone hasn't realized, Disney's been putting their brands on foods for quite a while. Case in point - Donald Duck Orange Juice, since 1940, by the same company/co-op that now produces Florida's Natural Orange Juice.
So how does a couple eggs make any difference.

I don't eat a lot of eggs, but I'll probably buy a dozen if they're available here, just for the carton.

As cool as I think these eggs are, I don't see them staying around all that much. I am a huge Disney fan but would not spend more money on the same egg that is the same just because it has a stamp on it.

Also besides being a huge Disney fan, I have also been in Management in Retail in SuperMarkets for the last 20 years. I have never worked for Publix but worked for Alberstons, Kash N Karry(Sweetbay), Target, and now Meijer.

I have never seen a Disney branded food that is alot more expensive stick around. I remember a few years back, Disney had HUGE product push on their Grocery items. They came out with 4 or 5 Kelloggs cereals- and various fruit drinks marketed in 6 packs and 64 ounce. The product flew off the shelves at first but soon after died down to where the stores were killing them totally.

There is all sorts of Disney food items out there

Somone mentioned the apples. There is also OJ, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, pizza, and whole host of other things

The same company that makes the Mickey Burgers also makes NASCAR burgers. The NASCAR burgers come with a packet of "NASCAR seasoning". That one had me scratching my head. What the heck does a NASCAR seasoned burger taste like? High octane fuel and burnt rubber ?

And the Mickey nuggets are not only shaped like a classic tri-circle Mickey, but they are the most delicious frozen nuggets out there IMO. Oh yeah, and they also have very little in the way of unnecessary ingredients and processing. Tastier than Tyson; Mcbetter than McDonalds!

I spent a total of 7 years during high school and college working for American Foods (ACME). I did a lot of ordering for the store I worked in. We never had Disney items, but your observations seem to hold for all the "branded" items. They would sell for a month or two, and then die off.

They would also be taken off our plan-o-grams, I assume because other products had better movement (or shelf space fees)

I think this is the dumbest thing I have ever seen....its not like making a Mickey pancake and you put it in front of your child and they say "ohhhh and ahhhh" and then eat it.....this egg never gets seen by the child, its just a waste in my opinion.....and I say child because as an adult it does NOTHING for me to see Mickey before I crack the egg.
