Disney Dining Experience question

I called Disney about two weeks ago to order my DDE membership. So far the charge hasn't shown up on my credit card, and I haven't gotten anything in the mail. I know it's still early, but I'm just surprised my card hasn't been charged yet.

Can anyone give me an idea of how long it took their membership to be processed? Should I be worried? My next trip is March 10 and I want to be sure I have my 20% discount!

They say that it could take 2-3 weeks for processing, so I wouldn't get too worried yet. If you don't see anything in another week or two then you can call and question them.

Nicole, I ordered the DDE a couple weeks ago (Jan 17 or 18). The rep on the phone said it would take 3-4 weeks to send me my card, but they sent me an email with an attachment containing my confirmation letter. That confirmation letter could be used in lieu of the permanent card to get the 20% discount until it arrived - I know because I just used it last week and saved my family and me about $80 on meals. And I also just checked, my Visa hasn't been charged yet either - I'll assumed they'll charge it when they process the card.

Okay, I still haven't heard anything and I called them three weeks ago today. Guess I'll be calling again tomorrow, I want to be sure I'm getting the card in time for my trip Mar 10th!

If you go on the passholder site, they give a number to call. I called there yesterday and was told that I couldn't get my membership with my will call AP renewal certificate. They said I had to wait until I actually got my new AP passes when I go in March. To say that I'm angry is an understatement. Has anyone else gone through anything like this? I have a Disney customer service person getting back to me about it. Hopefully they will be able to resolve this.

Actually I was able to get mine with no problem!!! My current AP is still good though and I do have my renewal notice sitting in my passholder sleeve so I dont lose the thing or forget it on the next trip!!! I cant see why they wouldnt give this to you. It is kinda dumb in my opinion. More Information can be gotten through Disney's DDE hotline at 1-407-566-5858. Hey Nicole, worst case they will send you a letter to use in place of the card so dont worry about that. Belle

I'm in the same boat as you. I ordered mine on Jan 14th and still have not received any info other than my original email and have not had my credit card charged.

But my wife and I have already saved $40 at WDW with the Disney Dining Experience.

I ordered mine about a week ago and was required to read my AP number off the back of my pass. I would assume that the voucher would not work since they apparently want your actual passholder id number. Not sure though.

I only have the AP temporary cards (the lime green ones). When I called to get my DDE card, I had to go out to my car (they're in there so I won't leave them at home when we head to the World...) and get the temp cards and read a number from the back of one of them. I figured when I called that just saying I had ordered my AP would suffice, but they are requiring the number from a voucher or actual AP.
I didn't mind going to get the voucher. I figured it was another way they are trying to cut down on fraud.

Credit Card Charged

The charge for the DDE was just on our latest Disney VISA statement, and we still haven't received our card, so we will be calling to check on it. Has this happened to anyone else?

If you order your DDE card before going, is there anywhere at Disney to pick up your membership card or do you just have to wait to get it in the mail?
