News Disney cruises coming to Japan under OLC

Huge news just announced that OLC is getting into the cruise industry with Disney cruises permanently based in Japan.

The model is similar to TDR where OLC will own and operate a cruise line under license from TWDC.

The first ship is planned to be 340 meters long with 1,250 cabins accommodating approximately 4,000 guests (very similar to the Dream, Wish and Fantasy). Planning to start operation FY 2028.

The gross tonnage implies Triton class (Wish, Treasure, Destiny) and not Dream class (Dream, Fantasy).

Curious to see whether they revive Triton years after its primary construction ends.

Also worth noting its to sail out of Tokyo.

I know Yokohama Has been wanting a Disney Cruise Line in the Yokohama Port. But OLC striked a deal with Disney.

This is different and a partnership between Disney and OLC. This is big launching at the 45th anniversary of Tokyo Disneyland.

Really curious to see which dining/bar options they choose from the first three sister ships…or perhaps they will pick a different theme entirely.

Sounds great, I just wonder where they will sail, will OLC have their own Castaway Cay? Wonder what themes will be represented on the ship.

It is a 4th Wish/Triton class.

it's a 2-4 nights cruise that will circle Japan and for future voyages they’re making iteneraty for foreign ports as well, Prices will vary from 100,000 yen to 300,000 yen per passenger.

My theory is that TDR is already landlocked and cant be expanded anymore and they opted for Cruise line division.
