The magic was all one solid piece and the wonder was 2.

I thought it was the other way around. At least that's the way that a CM on the Wonder told me. He said that the Magic was built first and in two pieces. The Wonder was then built in one piece. I'm sure that's what the CM said. Can anyone else verify this?

The Magic was built in two pieces. Not sure bout Wonder for def, but i think it was all in one. I certainly know the Magic was in two.

Any word what the Magic going down for changes will do for demand for the Wonder? Will it stick with 3/4 day cruises or pick up the longer ones to compensate? Is it going to make a cruise harder/more expensive to book? Any dates for Magic coming back online?

I know, I'm full of questions, but we're looking at a 4-day Disney Cruise for a honeymoon in May '07, and I'm getting *slightly* worried about the absence of the Magic.

Don't worry about potential rehabs. Unlike park attractions, time is money here so once they get the ship into drydock, they go at it like ants. Major renovations both internal and external are done in a matter of weeks. There was a special on the Wonder about the Magic refurb before the sail west...amazing!

There is a show on Travel Channel they play periodically on the making of the Disney ships. Keep a look out for it, it's a good show. It's been awhile since we've seen it, but I think they usually play it during their "cruise week" shows.
