Disney Cruise Line heading to Alaska in 2011

Alaska is such a wonderful territory. I was "ordered" to spend 3.5 years in Alaska in the late 1990s because Uncle Sam at the Pentagon said so. Live in Anchorage for my stay but traveled as far north as Talkeetna (and then flew around Mt McKinley and Mooses Tooth) and traveled as far south as Whitier and Seward for free boat excursions and train rides to see the calving glaciers.

Have not made it back to Alaska, but some day I will -- and maybe by Disney.

South Anchorage, aka Honolulu, is also a nice destination.

Hubby is looking at a job in Anchorage for "Uncle Sam" also. Not sure what I think about that. Was it hard in the winters?
Great news about the cruise. Maybe I could sweet talk my way into that one.

I thought about you, Rachel!! Bad timing for you!:(

I mentioned this to my fiance as soon as I found out. Even though he has never done anything Disney related (yet), he did sound somewhat disappointed that we are a year too early.

Three words for you....First Anniversary present.:D

Yes, that would make a great anniversary present! My mom already jokingly suggested that we put off our honeymoon for another year, but I would have one unhappy husband!
