Makes sense. Disney wants to take the focus off of EPIC and announcements are almost free to do and can be totally blue sky and not come close to what is built there if/when whatever they are trying to do is opened a decade after the announcement.

My guess is that it would take some media attention from a competitor.

Also, the next major D23 is in 2026, right? I know Destination D23 is here in WDW in late August.

I mean, yeah, but I kinda expected after all they announced last year, they’d kinda focus on what they already have for the major stuff until some of it opened. Unless it’s happening faster than anticipated.

I love the muppets, but i sincerely doubt they are being used as the big counter announcement to EPIC UNIVERSE

Well, whatever they are adding needs to also be justification for NOT putting Monsters back there (and instead removing Muppets for Monsters), so yeah... needs to be big to counter EU AND to justify to fans that it was worth losing Muppets...
