Then why aren't they doing that first before getting rid of the Muppets? You can't tell me Launch Bay is more popular.
correct, this frees up a lot of options.
Won't having whatever musicians are popular right now in the attraction result in it becoming dated like Rock 'n' Roller Coaster did?
"the weird drawer you have in your kitchen filled with random cables you won't throw out."
Great metaphor.
I would have less of a problem if the rethemed coaster was paired with some other Muppet attractions accessible to all ages, but nope, not seein' that here. Really bizarre move all around...
Me too. If we knew for sure that they were moving MuppetVision to the Lightning McQueen/Villains theater, it would soften the blow. But that's just speculation.
I like the Muppets, I don't like roller coasters that go upside down. So I won't want to go on the only Muppets attraction in the park. Huzzah.
And the usual stigma is that people tend to see puppetry, much like animation, chiefly as kids' stuff.
And when people try to do puppetry for older audiences, the result is crap like
The Happytime Murders. Where the entire joke is just "LOOK AT THIS! IT'S LIKE THE MUPPETS/SESAME STREET, BUT IT'S EDGY! WE'RE SO CLEVER, AREN'T WE?!".
BTW, this show also flopped.
The ARTPOP singer's Holiday Spectacular attracted just 3.6 million viewers, down almost two million from her Thanksgiving special two years ago

Apparently, that's because it sucked, not just because it had the Muppets. Same reason why
Muppets Most Wanted underperformed.
The other concern is by removing it from Tomorrowland that leaves another shuttered attraction.
If Disney really cared about shuttered attractions, they would've put something in the Stitch building years ago.
Interesting suggestion from Disney Dan. Wonder if this happens?
Disney doesn't reuse props or animatronics as much nowadays, do they? None of the Splash Mountain animatronics were reused for Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
Dang...we are going to have an daily attractin with Matt V Kermit. Dangit dangit.
We already have an attraction with Chris Diamantopolous' lousy Mickey Mouse. You'll survive.
I doubt you will get much more than a brief introduction from Kermit and a few small cameos of other Muppets. The main interactions will be with the Electric Mayhem.
How much would that suck? A Muppets attraction with (almost) no Fozzie, no Gonzo, no Scooter... it'd be like doing a
Princess and the Frog ride where the only characters from the movie who don't just have brief cameos are Tiana, Louis, and Mama Odie. Oh, wait...
