In my semi-perfect dhs master plan, the Animation Courtyard would be totally leveled and Florida be given a proper and even better ToonTown with MMRR being relocated and GMR returning with trackless tech. That way you could also redo that terrible toon carnival section of MK and replace it with something much better

They no longer hire creative visionaries. Imagineers are now just whatever college program participants flirted the hardest with their leadership team, so it makes sense that they have to steal their ideas from decades-old discussion forum rumors.
I'm sure reality got reset sometime during Covid and we now live in an alternative universe. One where somehow, somehow, the dumbest, most infantile Disney fan forum members of 2000/2015 made it to imagineer and are now realising all their fantard fantasies.

Then why aren't they doing that first before getting rid of the Muppets? You can't tell me Launch Bay is more popular.
correct, this frees up a lot of options.
Won't having whatever musicians are popular right now in the attraction result in it becoming dated like Rock 'n' Roller Coaster did?
"the weird drawer you have in your kitchen filled with random cables you won't throw out."
Great metaphor.
I would have less of a problem if the rethemed coaster was paired with some other Muppet attractions accessible to all ages, but nope, not seein' that here. Really bizarre move all around...
Me too. If we knew for sure that they were moving MuppetVision to the Lightning McQueen/Villains theater, it would soften the blow. But that's just speculation.

I like the Muppets, I don't like roller coasters that go upside down. So I won't want to go on the only Muppets attraction in the park. Huzzah.
And the usual stigma is that people tend to see puppetry, much like animation, chiefly as kids' stuff.
And when people try to do puppetry for older audiences, the result is crap like The Happytime Murders. Where the entire joke is just "LOOK AT THIS! IT'S LIKE THE MUPPETS/SESAME STREET, BUT IT'S EDGY! WE'RE SO CLEVER, AREN'T WE?!".
BTW, this show also flopped.

Apparently, that's because it sucked, not just because it had the Muppets. Same reason why Muppets Most Wanted underperformed.
The other concern is by removing it from Tomorrowland that leaves another shuttered attraction.
If Disney really cared about shuttered attractions, they would've put something in the Stitch building years ago.
Interesting suggestion from Disney Dan. Wonder if this happens?

Disney doesn't reuse props or animatronics as much nowadays, do they? None of the Splash Mountain animatronics were reused for Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
Dang...we are going to have an daily attractin with Matt V Kermit. Dangit dangit.
We already have an attraction with Chris Diamantopolous' lousy Mickey Mouse. You'll survive.
I doubt you will get much more than a brief introduction from Kermit and a few small cameos of other Muppets. The main interactions will be with the Electric Mayhem.
How much would that suck? A Muppets attraction with (almost) no Fozzie, no Gonzo, no Scooter... it'd be like doing a Princess and the Frog ride where the only characters from the movie who don't just have brief cameos are Tiana, Louis, and Mama Odie. Oh, wait...

Your biggest retorts to others is there is already sucky things...

It is possible to not want to it to suck more or have more suckage.

Chris D's Mickey is similar to old shorts which is it is going for. Not my thing in a modern Mickey but I get the goal.

Matt V sounds worse than any dad doing a bad kermit imitation. I don't even think it is an impression. Him being cast into the role was further evidence of Disney killing the property.

People need to stop with the sunset showcase move. It is getting a villians theater show that will run for many years and the cost to reproduce Muppets, an attraction they are demolishing would be not something they do. It's not the World's Fair.

How long do we realistically think the coaster has before it needs either retracked or replaced?

Well, how long had Space Mountain been chugging along?

I am curious on the timing on this. Voyage of the Little Mermaid is still dark until Summer 2025. Villians Show opens same time. Would make sense to wait to close Muppet Vision until at least after those other two open. How long do you think the turn around to convert the themeing on this is? Is it a quick retheme or are we looking at the 18 month time frame other more extensive rethemes have seen? Do we wait to close Muppet Vision until this is done to have a continuation of Muppet attractions?

Did you ask them? I was certainly riding and loving big coasters at 7-8 years old. Where is this notion coming from that Rock 'n Rollercoaster is intense? It really isn't at all.

Much to my DWifeys delight (sarcasm ;)), I turned our 3 (now adult) children into thrill ride junkies at an early age.
Now, we have 2 young granddaughters (6 and 3) that are heading in the same direction.
Oldest granddaughter turned 5 on our trip in Oct. of 2023, skipped Barnstormer and went straight to BTMR. She wanted to get right back on and ride it again.
Between that trip, and our more recent trip in late June/early July of this year, she’s also ridden Space Mountain, TBA, TT, Ratatouille, Slinky Dog Dash, ToT, and she would have ridden RnRC, Dinosaur, FoP and EE, but RnRC was down both times that day, and we have yet to visit AK with them.

A few random pics of her on some of those rides…!!! :)

Ah, you mean exactly how he played himself as Constantine In Muppets Most Wanted...

And which is why Peter Lintz who plays Walter should Be Kermit as he voices Ernie Perfectly..
