Disney confirms 'Frozen' makeover coming to Epcot's Norway Pavilion

I didn't mind the Stave Church exhibit featuring the tie-in to Frozen. It was well done. Something like that is fine to me.

I don't know how I'd feel if they plopped, say the Flying Carpets into Morocco. I wouldn't oppose the Sindbad ride from Tokyo though ... just saying ....

And on that note, apparently there's a lot more Rat merch in France ... not saying it's an awful thing, just pointing it out.

To be honest I have a problem with Aladdin meeting in Morocco. Morocco isn't Agrabah.

Would the backlash be as big if Disney built an Aladdin ride in Morocco? It fits as well as Arendelle does in Norway.

I have no problem with Anna and Elsa meeting in Norway and I have no problem with Aladdin meeting in Morocco because the characters are loosely based on the culture. Aladdin is still set in a middle eastern area so he fits the landscape. Same with the two princesses. And they are less offensive than a ride because they are temporary and can be removed at any time. They stay out of the way of people and if you don't want to meet them; you don't have to. A ride on the other hand is permanent and is a more focal point of the pavilion. and If they were to make an Aladdin ride, I would be just as upset because a major attraction in the pavilion should focus on the actual culture of the country; not the cartoon.

Sure, I can say I don't have to ride the ride (which I will) but it takes something away from me as a paying guest. As other people, as well as I, have said; it is also more than just one ride. It is the entirety of the pavilion. Go to Morocco and find something else with Aladdin, besides the meet and greet, in the pavilion. You won't find much. His character spot is in a 'hard to find' spot and he is only out for so much time. There is no Aladdin/princess merchandise in the stores, no Aladdin themed treats in the bakery. Nothing. Whereas Norway has 1. The princess dining, 2. the Frozen museum, 3. Olaf cupcakes, 4. the soon to be Frozen ride, 5. the soon to be added meet and greet, 6. a section of the store dedicated to Frozen. It's insane. I get it's a popular movie and all that but daaaayyyuuummm!

sorry if this has been said previously in here.

remember how we all kept wishing that Disney would fill in some of the gaps between existing countries in the World Showcare with new countries? Be careful of what you wish for, you just might get it. The newest country: Arendelle.

Hopefully, when Disney sees a nice return on this new construction- it might actually lead to further development of the other empty pads.

I would embrace him. I love werewolves.

I'm more of a vampire fan.

In fact...since Twilight is soooooooo popular, maybe Disney should buy the rights....then they could update the American Pavilion and add a Twilight ride and meet and greet. Think of all the money Disney would make. Besides, that place is old and due for a new update.

I mean if he's not eating anybody or clawing anyone...what's the big deal?!? Lol

Speaking of big deals, have you seen the Marshmallow M&G that they have in DLR? Looks awesome, I hope we get something like that in Epcot.
I'm also really hoping for something like a big, gorgeous ice crystal staircase. And I am cautiously optimistic about rumors I've heard about the Olaf animatronic.

If you were creating the new Frozen content, what would you include?

So it'd be OK if say 10 years from now, Frozen fades away [I know it won't, not hating on it, just going for an example] it'll be OK when they come up with a new ride for Norway and replace Frozestrom? Such as a fun troll movie that is a massive moneymaking hit? Think of the money they can make!

And personally, I'd like an Olaf and Marshmallow meet and greet ... lucky Anaheim

It's okay by me!

But I'm just lil me, and there are many TIRELESS members of this website who would be outraged until their dying breath (again).

Especially if it involved princesses.

I totally get where you are coming from.

Lucky us in 2016, I'm hoping. ;) I find it difficult to believe, that in a building the size they are creating, that they can't find room for Olaf and Marshmallow (dare I hope for Kristoff??!!) along with Anna and Elsa.
