Took about a week and a half after applying for the card via phone for it to arrive in our mailbox. Made the first purchase that day (10/25)! Received an actual gift card in the mail today (11/5). Woot! :sohappy:

One more thing did they automaticly send it to you or did you have to call them??

They automatically sent it to me. I didn't have to do anything. Good luck. I hope you get it in time for your trip!

God bless the "Ignore" button.
A little update on this.
They're in the process of changing who can access this room. It used to be credit and debit card holders, but it will soon be exclusive to those with the credit card.
Right now they have it that you'll either be meeting Mickey and Pluto or Minnie and Goofy, depending on what part of the hour you go.
Also, it is occasionally so dead in there that the characters will have a lie-down on the floor while waiting for the next family. No, I am not kidding.

The one time we went to the meet & greet it was Mickey & Pluto! Glad to hear it's always mainstream characters. I think the free photo and quieter meet & greet is worth a little bit of the wait.

Just signed up for one last week, and I am so happy to hear of the M&G! I plan on purchasing our groceries and gas on it and paying it off every month to get points! Between gas and groceries, that should easily be about 1 or 2 points a month. Although I saw in previous msgs. from last year that they gave a $200 GC, mine was just a $50 credit. Not bad because I bought the niece and nephews Christmas gifts for free I guess, but that GC would have been amazing!

we have the card and used it for our trip in 2011. we received a $200 gift card and used it for our souvenirs. I really wish they would send you a gift card after you book a vacay! But getting 6 months same as cash to pay for the vacay is pretty awesome in itself.

I love my Disney Chase card. You also get 10% off at almost all the gift shops and 20% off tours. The rewards dollars aren't too great, it's 1 Disney dollar per $100, but if you use the card thoughout the year for everyday purchases, you'd be surprised how quick it adds up. Just wait until you recieve an offer for the $200 gift card, it comes around every so often.
I'm sorry, but it does NOT add up quickly. We got one 9 months before our 2008 trip. Put gas and groceries on it and any big purchases. Avg around 800-900 bucks a month. Used it like a charge card, paid it off every month. You know how much we got after $8500? 85 stinking disney bucks. Enough for pretty cool Cars toy for the 4 year old!!!
