Disney Called

I didn't know which section to put this under, so I put it here...
I called my mom at home today to see what was happening on the homefront and at the end of the conversation, she said, "Oh, Disney World called for you." And I was like, "huh? For what?" and she said that they had gotten my email from disneyworld.com pertaining a ride. Well, last thursday, I went to carouselofprogress.com and I signed the petition. After that, I followed a link and it took me to the "comments" page on the official website. I wrote this big ol' long letter about why I think they should keep COP open, not just seasonally and all this good stuff. They told my mom they would call me back over the weekend (im a college student) and would keep in touch with me via email! I was pretty shocked! Has this happened to any you others before?

I have had return email and calls from them before, but they have never done a whole lot to satisfy my complaints the way Disneyland did. They gave me a voucher for 6 free 3-day tickets, all because we drove across the country and 1 ride (IASW) was closed. Then again, I live 45 minuted from WDW and have Premium Anuual Passes (they could give me a free or discounted renewal). :sohappy:

I have always gotten calls back from Disney.
Just yesterday i received a call from Disney regarding an email I sent about great service that i got from a cast member.
I think it is cool that with the Thousands and Thousands of emails and calls that they take the time to call you back good or bad.

Wow! - keep us posted with ongoing details. I'm sure they'll probably shmaltz it up with their "guidebook" lingo, explain "newer" attractions for you to look forward to, and thank you for your comments, time, "you are a valued guest and your comments are important to us" kinda thing. I doubt there will be a deep, down and dirty discussion of CoP, or anything like that. But - as I've never written a letter or gotten a response from Disney, who knows?

You were right! They called me this weekend and the lady, as expected, said they were only keeping it open as a seasonal attraction. :( She agreed totally, however, with my comments saying that she, too, missed COP.
