Disney bus to MK

Hi!

I read in the Unofficial Guide to WDW that morning buses to MK from Disney resorts take you to the TTC, instead of the park's main entrance, until 8h00a.m. Is that true? Does that mean that I have to wait until 8h00a.m. to catch a bus from my resort (Pop Century) if I want to go directly to MK's main entrance?

I don't think so...
When we went last summer, we stayed at POR & traveled by bus directly to MK w/ no other stops except for POFQ.
I'll have to try to find that one in my Unofficial Guide book.

I think as soon as bus service starts, it will drop you at main gate.

Someone gave you bad information. We have stayed at Pop before and have had no problems getting to any of the parks before opening. If you have an early breakfast you will catch a character breakfast bus and they will drop you at MK directly. Otherwise I think they start running 1 1/2 - 2 hrs before park opening even on EMHs. We are always at the parks by 730am w/o problems.

I have a 2007 version. I've read it again this morning, its in Part 7, Arriving and Getting Around, p.360. It says "Until one hour before the park opens, buses to the Magic Kingdom deliver you to the TTC(...)Buses take you directly to MK starting one hour before the park's stated opening".

I had never heard about this before, and your answers make me think that either the authors are mistaken, or the policy has changed recently.:shrug:

By the way, the book is really amazing! I think it's essential if you want to survive (and truly enjoy) a trip to WDW!

We sent someone over to the BoardWalk Inn yesterday at 7 am. They got on a bus for the MK and were deposited at the entrance, not the TTC. And my guess is that happens all the time.

I'll update the book today. Thanks for noticing this!

Unless something has changed, they drop you at the main entrance. We usually have reservations at Crystal Palace and get there early and have not had a problem.
