Disney 'Bucket List'

Hi all,

I'm off to WDW in July as part of a group of 4, and it's the first time we've visited in 10 years (two of the members have actually never been before) and we've been compiling a Bucket List of little things we definitely want to do there!

So far, we have:

- Try all the sodas in Club Cool
- Have a caricature drawn
- Meet Gaston!
- Meet Donald (my sister is completely obsessed)
- Attempt to finish the kitchen sink
- See Cirque du Soleil
- Visit the Rose & Crown and compare it to a real British Pub ;)
- Stay in MK until 2am

Does anyone has have a little list of things they want to do at the World that they haven't done on previous trips? Or things that they love doing so much that they know they just have to do again?

Would love to hear some thoughts and perhaps get some more inspiration to add to my own list! :inlove:

My current bucket list:
- Take an official Disney tour, like Keys to the Kingdom
- Stay at AKL with a savanna view
- stay at all the moderate resorts
- stay at AoA
- Eat at Sanaa, Boma, and Jiko
- Attend MNSSHP and MVMCP
- do Sum of All Thrills
- attend a 24 hour party
- get a photo with Jack Skellington
- dine with an Imagineer
- purchase a piece of Disney artwork
- attend the Food & Wine Festival
- Drink around the world

This December I'll get to knock dining at Boma, attending MVMCP, Sum of all Thrills, and hopefully a couple of other items off of my list.

Before we went in February we made list based on all of the rides and attractions on the park maps and crossed out all of the ones we had done. We worked on things we had not done before but there are still about 15 or 20 things across all the parks we still have to do. On top of our bucket list though are the behind the scene tours. I must see the utilidors!!

Previous bucket list items:
Run disney event
MNSSHP
MVMCP
Food and Wine
Flower and Garden

"And please enlighten me - what is school bread?!"

Sorry, I messed up the quote. It's some kind of cake-like thing with coconut from Norway. I gather it's one of those things that some people adore and others can't figure out why.

I really like cake-like things and coconut! I may have to try this ...

breakfast at the Crystal palace before park opens
dinner at the garden grill
take the monorail from mk to epcot
magic kingdom electric parade
sum of all thrills
club cool
dinosaur at ak
walts one man dream at h/s
stay at the poly.

They all sound fab! I'm SO curious about this Beverly

Oooh Jack Skellington, that would be amazing! Does he often wander around or is he super hard to find? I'd love to drink around the world too! I wish we had more time to do that, but we currently can only give one day (and maybe an evening) to Epcot :arghh:

I have far too many bucket list items to list here, but check out my Pinterest board of them: https://www.pinterest.com/Sammy752013/disney-bucket-list/

I love this!! So many amazing things to look at!!

get a dole whip
try lefous brew at gastons tavern
ride haunted mansion at night
see fantasmic
collect pressed pennys

YES! I must add a Dole Whip and a Lefous Brew to my ever-expanding list!

1.Mac and Cheese at The Friar's Nook :inlove:

2. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom ( so awesome, and free! + makes a great souvenir ;) )

What is Sorcerers of the MK? I haven't heard of it but it sounds intriguing!
Oh and don't forget the free pins they give out at the entrance and in the shops, especially for the first timers :)

Ah great idea, thank you!

Jack and Sally make a few guest appearances at the MNSSHP's for meet and greets. Other than that I don't think they get out at all.

The Sorcerers of the MK is a really cool game to play at MK. My 11yo son got really into it on our last visit and spent hours playing. The cards are free, you just have to pick them up at the fire barn next to city hall or at a "hidden" kiosk in liberty square. They send you on quests in every land in MK besides Tomorrowland. Lots of fun.

Gosh, over the years we've banged out most of the things we ever wanted to do or try. Not too many left.
I still havent done the Steam Train tour. Havent been picked as "that guy" in MILF. Havent gotten the top score in TSM. Want to walk the AK pathways at night.
A couple of things I did do that probably no one will ever do again... Rode in front in the WDW monorail and rode EE with the Yeti working. :p

Did the Steam Train tour on our trip this past January. It poured rain, but our guide was funny and very knowledgeable. It's definitely not for the guest who doesn't want to see dirt and grime that's inconsistent with Disney magic, but for the train enthusiast like my dad, it's a treat!

Jack and Sally appear at MNSSHP and from what I've heard he'll attend MVMCP solo as "Sandy Claws" as well. Aside from that, they aren't regularly out and about.

A bit of dirt and grime backstage is fine with me. I have previewed the tour online and it looks like it would be something I'd enjoy. I've loved trains since I was ---- this high. :joyfull: Too bad you ran into rain on your tour. Hope it didnt keep you from enjoying it all.

Oh my goodness, I love this list! Our trip almost feels like my first time too (it's been 10 years, so I mostly just remember Disney from grainy photographs!). I do remember my dad eating a Turkey leg though and him being completely shocked that it was actually a 'thing'! :joyfull: You would not find that in the UK! We also still have our autograph books from back then :) Can't wait to read your TR!

I love this thread! I've gotten lots of ideas. Here's what's on my list for this year's trip:
  • MNSSHP
  • Try dole whip
  • Wishes from California Grill
  • Tom Sawyer Island
  • Ride the Liberty Belle
  • MK opening show
  • Get my hair cut at Harmony Barber Shop
  • Animation Academy
Some for the future:
  • One of the MK tours
  • Stay at all the resorts once
  • Camp at FW in my dad's RV
  • Buy a piece of Disney art
I'm sure there are more that I'll think of later :) Can't wait to get back there later this year!!
