Disney 'Bucket List'

Hi all,

I'm off to WDW in July as part of a group of 4, and it's the first time we've visited in 10 years (two of the members have actually never been before) and we've been compiling a Bucket List of little things we definitely want to do there!

So far, we have:

- Try all the sodas in Club Cool
- Have a caricature drawn
- Meet Gaston!
- Meet Donald (my sister is completely obsessed)
- Attempt to finish the kitchen sink
- See Cirque du Soleil
- Visit the Rose & Crown and compare it to a real British Pub ;)
- Stay in MK until 2am

Does anyone has have a little list of things they want to do at the World that they haven't done on previous trips? Or things that they love doing so much that they know they just have to do again?

Would love to hear some thoughts and perhaps get some more inspiration to add to my own list! :inlove:

-Sum of All Thrills
-Animal Kingdom at night
-eating at Victoria & Albert's and Garden Grill (is that opposite ends of the spectrum or what?!?)
-staying at the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Wilderness Lodge
-Spirit of Aloha, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, and Hoop-Dee-Do
-successfully completing a Drink Around the World (we got 9 of 11 last time!)

Doing a Universal-only trip in September, but we will be stopping at the World one evening to cross two more off the list: Jiko and Trader Sam's.

Sounds good! We're also doing the Hoop-Dee-Do! So excited! Also, what is the Sum of All Thrills? (Disney newbie here!)

Gosh, over the years we've banged out most of the things we ever wanted to do or try. Not too many left.
I still havent done the Steam Train tour. Havent been picked as "that guy" in MILF. Havent gotten the top score in TSM. Want to walk the AK pathways at night.
A couple of things I did do that probably no one will ever do again... Rode in front in the WDW monorail and rode EE with the Yeti working. :p

Traditions for every trip DW and I take:
  • Try a scrub and lotion/body butter at Basin and/or Basin White
  • Drink something from Ghirardelli and get a free sample
  • Visit each Monorail resort at least once
  • Visit Club Cool
  • Visit Norway shop and try the lotion
  • Ride Maelstrom (RIP ), Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Mission: Space
  • Enter/exit Epcot through International Gateway at least once
Things we've done once or twice that may have to become traditions or at least happen once every few trips:
  • Drink Around the World (sharing one beverage at each country! There is NO WAY I could drink 11 drinks by myself in one day!!!)
  • Attend Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party
  • Eat at Les Halles for breakfast
  • Eat at California Grill
  • Eat at Boma
Things we hope/plan to do on an upcoming trip but haven't done yet:
  • Eat at Be Our Guest
  • Attend the Jiko wine tasting
  • Eat at Sanaa
  • Eat at Biergarten
  • Eat at Tutto Italia
  • Do a big tour (several hours long)
  • Stay Club Level at least one night
  • Rent DVC points for a villa stay
  • Ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • Revisit the Disney water parks (it's been 12 years for me for either one and DW has only been to BB, never TL)
  • Become Annual Passholders (non-Florida ones)
Now we're just dreaming...
  • Stay at every resort
  • Stay for a whole month
I'm sure I'll think of more...

I have a booklet beside my bed where I keep categorized bucket lists! I've divided it into things I want to do next trip, lifetime bucket list, places I want to eat, shopping list, things we've done before but want to do again and so on. It just keeps growing and getting more complicated. Here are a few from various lists:

-photograph every monorail color
-Peoplemover at night
-Hidden Mickey tour
-try school bread
-pick a pearl
-explore new resorts
-shop at Memento Mori

and so on and so on. It also includes lists of attractions we've somehow managed to miss and that list is so embarrassingly extensive I shouldn't even mention it.

Less of a bucket list and more of a must do list for me is centered around the live entertainment in Disney. I never miss Mulch, Sweat & Shears, or British Revolution for at least a set or two!!! Marie

I'm so excited for the shows! Are those all in Epcot?

So jealous! The front of the monorail would be a dream!

A month would be AMAZING! I'd also like to do a tour of some sort! Maybe next time for us! :)

For me, no Disney trip is complete without meeting Mickey at least once. And having a churro. I MUST have a churro.

Oh, of course! If I don't meet Mickey I will probably cry!:cry:

Aww, haha! And yes, I want to pick a pearl too! That's going on the list! And please enlighten me - what is school bread?!
