That's a cop out. Admittedly I'm a little behind on current affairs outside of healthcare. So, if you could please share what you've been reading I would appreciated it.

Edit: a quick search revealed an article from this August stating attendance was up..
Far from a cop out. There is an entire thread on the subject on the first page of news and rumors.

That, or they're passionate about helping people. Lots of doctors live modest lives because helping people is more important to them than driving a flashy lambo. Money is a means to an end, it's not the meaning of life.

^ That. I have been working in health care for upwards of 20 years. People whom get into for the money, do not last long. I would have to say, allot of folks in the field have no interest in filling their pockets. One of the best M.D.s I know, renowned in his field. Drives a Toyota Camry. Lives a mediumish life and is an overall happy person.

Definitely a cop out. As previously stated, articles state attendance and profits are up.

Edit: read up on what you mentioned. That’s news to me. My apologies for having a life outside of WDW that bars me from reading everything and keeping up with the lastest events. I could use more hours in the day. Had I known that existed, I wouldn’t have made those remarks, as you suggested earlier.

Aside from your insinuation that a person who reads other threads has "no life", I am glad you were able to read the thread. There are several other threads in reference to the resort wide cuts that have been taking place from entertainment to staffing as well, which was foretold by the insiders in the referenced thread.

The original point of this was how there was an unusual dip in attendance heading into the fall (nothing about profits and annual attendance numbers) and there was panic behind the scenes and resort wide cutbacks ensued. Several people cited the current executives lack of theme park experience being the cause of (unnecessary) panic. Just more evidence to show how the guest experience can suffer due to poor management.

Nobody is going to take you seriously if you expect others to do your homework for you. :joyfull:

All true points. Also, no insinuation meant by my statement. You’re right, though, it sounds that way.

Ive made my fair share of sarcastic comments so no hard feelings. Glad you were able to get a little insight from the other thread. I just saw a new (ish) thread about another cut back in AK , the Karibu Sisters.

The idea that cutting services/goods/whatever and increasing costs is the one and only way to run a business is absolute bunk. What happens when there is nothing left to cut? That being your only strategy is a sign that you do not know your business and don't have any good ideas. Disney doesn't like the theme park business and does not understand it. It is something they are saddled with and they don't know why people like the stupid things. This is why a minor dip causes a panic, because nobody can explain the situations to investors.
....One of the most popular theme parks in the world doesn't understand the theme park business?

Does being a fake internet doctor pay well?
Good one, Dan. I would normally hit back something rude and insensitive, but I’m trying to be nicer. So, would you like proof that I’m a second year medical student at a prominent Midwest university? I’ll give you a hint, we are #19 in the AP this week..
