None of the articles I’ve read have said the safety of the actors was a factor; rather, the pared back media events have been to mitigate the self-destructive PR tendencies of the leads (though, notably, they had no problem putting Gadot on GMA while Zegler is doing meet and greets with small groups of fans in Tokyo).
I tried searching the internet to see if I could find any mention of safety being a concern, and I couldn’t.
None of the articles actually outright identify Disney's reason for changing either premiere (UK or US Hollywood), just they were doing it to prevent additional backlash. Any article I've seen from any media outlet puts their own speculation on the matter, but none that are confirmed by Disney themselves. So speculation is all around this whole ordeal.

Well since the reshoots and the VFX were done in London, we'll have an actual accounting of those through UK tax records.

I don't believe that either. I have a hard time dealing with the cadre of nerd-ragers and supposed adults who write the obnoxious things they do about both the celebrities and the movies. It seems over the top to me. Maybe others are more used to it.

Liking/disliking celebrities, politicians, athletes, bands, authors, and other famous people is a national pastime. I have a long list of people I’ll go out of my way to buy from and also a pretty long list of people I actively avoid spending money on because I dislike their music, acting style, writing style, personal stances, etc. I thought that was completely normal and everyone did it.

Correct, and it's a global pastime. Back in William Shakespeare's day, grown men would sit in taverns having a drink, discussing his latest play. Debates would oftentimes breakout over whether or not it was good, etc. Sometimes those debates would lead to full-blown fistfights and brawls...over a play. People who analyze Shakespeare are deemed as intelligent. Yet in modern day, it's somehow childish to discuss/ debate movies and actors?
It was childish then too, but more accepted back in that time.
