Iger could give 2 craps about middle class. He wants the crazy stupid oil money.

The volumetric flow rate of crazy stupid oil money is magnitudes greater than the miserly middle class
Wrong. India middle class being targeted. Oil money doesn’t bring more clicks at the gate. If Disney wants a piece of the oil that’s called Capitalism.

Its more like duh ... the developer only builds mall like theme parks so your talking more Metroland quality than say DisneySea quality.

It’s being designed by Imagineering. I would not draw much conclusions from their existing parks. If anything they are not looking for the same.

The 10B figure (if true) reassures me. Spend won’t be the problem.

Where is Hades have you been?? They don't want clicks; they want the most money from the fewest people.

Do you know what PRGS and PCGS are??

Absolutely it is beneficial either way for TWDC. I meant the wider project / beneficial also for Miral and the wider region.

Sea World and Ferrari will also be grinning no doubt.
I think Disneyland AD is kind of a giant weenie for the area. It will certainly bring more people to Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Many of these will travel on Etihad or maybe Emirates airlines and stay in a hotel owned wholly or partly by Miral or another company linked to the the AD government. Existing visitors may add on an extra day or two for Disneyland as well. They will visit other Miral attractions while they are there and spend money on goods and services.

To a certain degree the whole country is a WDW style bubble for tourists as many of these key components are owned in whole or part by the government or linked companies. I suspect their gains from these will outweigh Disneys fees

ReviewTyme spend a bit of time at the end of this video seemingly in the belief that this resort may not even happen. They definitely put a bit more of a positive spin on the project then I would have thought, but overall make a lot of good points especially around the viability of the project and partnership.

Companies make money. International companies make money…internationally. Everyone does business with China. Everyone does businesses with opec and the petroleum producing companies in the Middle East. Disney execs made a bold move, making an expansion with zero financial risk and bringing a completely new resort to its customers.

Yes
Now, the test will be if TWDC can effectively and efficiently split Imagineering's bandwidth between the new park and bringing to life the $60 billion dollar improvement plans...

It will be interesting to see from which location the Imagineers will be allocated to this project. Don't want to move to Lake Nona ? We've got another location that the company requires your services at ;
