Pretty sure that account is a troll. It keeps posting that same thing every now and then.
Twilight_ Roxas is not a troll account. He has been on the imagineering board on this forum for many years. He has been giving suggestions for people that posted in the Imagineering board in the past including myself. He was one of the people that gave me suggestions including in 2015.

No but all profits from Disneys subsidiaries over the next few years will likely go to paying off the 71 billion dollars.
They don't need to pay off 71 billion. Half the purchase price was cash so it's about 36 billion in cash. The Sky sale was about half that so we are down to 18 billion. Then the sale of the RSNs and Fos Sports in Mexico and Brazil and finally their share of the Hurst networks in Europe will help pay most of that. Disney is assuming 14 or 15 billion in Fox debt but Fox also has earnings so after the merger I expect the EPS to increase from this purchase.

Now, EPS will decrease from the huge expansion of Disney Plus, Hulu and ESPN plus. But the DTC streeming services IMO will be very profitable and increase EPS starting in 2022. The good news is that this years movie stake will help make up for the money going into streeming and P&R will continue to set records through 2022 so EPS will be fine and so will the stock price. And if JP Morgan is right and Disney Plus gets 160 million worldwide customers by 2022 Disney's stock price should be over $200 a share by then.

I just hope they don't postpone it again. Previously we didn't find out until the next day that a vote on it was postponed. It feels like they just keep dragging their feet on it.

I guess well be able to tell if Disney delay the exchange offers again. I'm still not sure if the vote outcome will be made public as well just have to wait and see.

I read that as they wouldn't say the number of votes for or against, but they would have to inform Disney at least of the outcome of the vote. We might see it in a SEC filing from Disney, who has filed notice when they have received prior approval from other governments. These SEC filings typically come after 4pm eastern.

Wouldn't the IFT approval with conditions be newsworthy in Mexico and outside Mexico?

I would agree with you.... I am just relating how I read the "vote outcome not being made public" statement as the actual vote tally, not the approved or rejected outcome. Also, we may hear something from Disney after the market closes at 4pm.....

Well after the vote they would have to inform both Disney and Fox of course, and do to the issue of cable sports engulfing the issue in Mexico, then it would have to be newsworthy.

checking my twitter timeline for anything saw this article from just 3 hours ago (doesnt say anything new) but reconfirms the IFT should vote on it today.

It is expected that today the Federal Institute of Telecommunications will decide whether to approve the merger between Disney and Fox. The Federal Commission of Economic Competition has already given its approval, but President López Obrador opposes it because it would cause the fans to have to pay to see matches. soccer. An approval with conditions is expected.

This article has been popping up a few times this morning. No updates on approval but provides some interesting info.

The alliance will involve the merger of ESPN and FoxSports, which can plant more competition for Televisa and TV Azteca for the transmission rights of the soccer teams and for the pay TV audience. Televisa and TV Azteca, which today lead these sports broadcasts, will have to face a new 'giant' in the sector, several analysts consulted agree.

Despite the competition that Disney and Fox may represent, Televisa and TV Azteca still have, by far, the largest audience.

This explains Televisa's challenge and confirms it isn't legit. They dont like the fact that they will have an actual competitor someone who might actually challenge their current monopoly. its the same situation as it was in Brazil.

El Economista in Mexico is reporting that it's still being decided today and that the results in this manner should be released this afternoon. If true I would guess within the next 2 hours or so.

Must be one of the last things on the agenda for the day. Fingers crossed were in the end game!
