I would think that splitting up the regional sports networks makes ESPN's competitors less powerful than having a rival buy them all together.

I’m pretty sure the 3.9 billion was the value placed on YES when fox bought the 80% in 2014. Not what they paid.

Regional sports networks continue to be the hottest ticket in media.
21st Century Fox said Friday that it was taking a majority stake in the New York Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network, known as the YES Network, a little more than a year after Fox first invested in the popular regional sports channel.
Fox said it would increase its stake to 80%, up from the 49% interest it bought in December 2012.
Fox declined to say how much it was paying for its increased interest. It paid $584 million for the 49% stake in 2012.

Ice cube and his team have secured funding to buy Disney's regional sports networks. I may have missed it but is it all 21 networks or just a few if them?
Outside of YES I don’t believe Disney was going to sell them piecemeal. I think there are at least 3 serious bidders on them at this point. Hopefully this sale generates some profit.
Disney is well on their way to earning back that 71.3 billion dollars.

Huh? Capt. Marvel wasn't Fox.
No but all profits from Disneys subsidiaries over the next few years will likely go to paying off the 71 billion dollars.

80 mil is a long way from 71B? If you are looking for this to pay off the purchase price you will have a very long wait. Box office does not equate to earnings.

Twilight_ Roxas is not a troll account. He has been on the imagineering board on this forum for many years. He has been giving suggestions for people that posted in the Imagineering board in the past including myself. He was one of the people that gave me suggestions including in 2015.
