Disney's fireworks plans for July 4 and 'Disney After Hours Boo Bash' at Walt Disney World

Interesting calendar...

Showing Epcot fireworks scheduled for 60 minutes after park close (most of July), and HEA 15 minutes after park close.

Though seen reports that Magic Kingdom and Epcot are both extended to 10pm for July.
That suggests to me that for August, Magic Kingdom closing will be 9:30. They obviously can't do 10pm on Boo Bash nights. So if they want consistency, it will be 9:30. By then, they might be able to move fireworks from 9:15 to 9pm.

If 18 minute show then 9:15 means most people have to be off lines looking for somewhere to watch by at least 9pm, so 30 minutes of ride queues clearing out before the after hours start and then fireworks end before you can get back on line. Not terrible.

Yes, they have a few options for Boo Bash days in August and beyond.

-Close park at 9pm and run fireworks at the same time as close, 9pm. (like the Epcot model).
That basically gives a "kiss goodnight" to the regular guests. Once fireworks starts, they can't get in any more lines. So they can either hop on a line and miss fireworks, in which case they would still be finishing the ride by around 9:30. Or they can end rides for the night, watch the fireworks and then exit.

-Close park at 9:30, run fireworks at 9:15 or 9:00. 9pm is difficult for fireworks in July because sunset is 8:30 pm in early July. It's simply not dark enough by 9pm for fireworks. But by early August, sunset is about 8:15, so you can move up the fireworks by 15 minutes.
So with a 9:30 close, regular guests can choose between short lines on the rides, or fireworks. Assuming they opt for fireworks, getting back on line would be theoretically possible after fireworks. But you will literally be in a swarm of people headed for the exits. Most people will be carried by this wave of people for the exits, immediately after fireworks.

By September/October, you can more easily run fireworks earlier. By late September, easy enough to run fireworks at 8pm and park close at 9.

Since I got shut out, I did some research. You can buy a two day ticket (depending on park to park or not) at Uni for near the same cost of a 9ish to 12ish ticket at Boo Bash.
