Discounts When Booking - AAA or Disney Visa?

My family is planning another trip to Disney this August. It will be our first with our daughter - she will be one year old! My question is about what type(s) of discounts there might be. We have a Disney Visa card and a AAA membership. Does anyone know if we can get a discount with either of these? If so, can I still get the discount if I book online, or do I need to call Disney?
Thanks!

You would need to book with AAA direct. Go to their website and log in (you'll need to register) and it will tell you what they have or just call AAA and ask.

You can go to the DisneyVisa website to find out the current offers. The good thing about that is you can order your Rewards card and load it.

I personally did not have any luck with AAA. For our July-August trip, I was told that all the rooms allocated for them are taken. Seems you would have to make the reservations very, very early. I couldn't find any discounts using my Disney Visa either. For example, no discounts right now for the Hoop De Doo Revue using it. If anyone has any better luck, I would love to hear about it.

We booked our trip through AAA for September and had no problem -- we also got an extra discount. We also booked our trip last year through AAA and did not have a problem then either. Call them - you are not obligated until you pay the deposit - then that is even refundable - I know this for a fact.

My advice to pretty much everyone, all the time, :D is as follows

Have at least one person in your party get an annual pass. You'll be able to book up to 3 rooms at a big discount (depending on the type of resort and time of year, it can be 40% or more), and if you wind up going back in less than a year (even if you just go next year, one week earlier than last year), you're covered with admission. AND you'll still get discounts on your room.

Also, get a Disney Dining Experience membership. It's $50 for annual pass members, and you'll get 20% off most full service restaurants throughout the world, and even a few counter-service places as well. Anyone in your party will get the discount, too. It includes dinner shows like Hoop-De-Do, as well, BTW.

For August, Deluxe Resorts are considered Value Season, so the discounts should be pretty good then (though it's too soon to say for sure). I stayed in Animal Kingdom last year in august-september for about 105 a night.

Then, once you know what you want in terms of tickets and accomodations, see if Disney Visa will consider it a "package" and give you a zero % interest deal. Even if you don't get a discount using the Disney Visa card, depending on how much you use the card when you're there, the zero% interest can save you serious coin, too. I only put my annual pass on my Disney VIsa (not the rest of the trip) and got zero percent interest on my Disney Visa without knowing or asking for it.

I don't know about AAA deals now with WDW's new ticket-pricing structure. I've used AAA years ago, and their packages included all the add-ons, like water parks & PI, so how much of a "deal" it was depended on how much you were willing to take in during your trip.

AAA's rates for July-August were $84 a night for values, but they didn't have any available. Tried all of the values. At that point, I decided to try a moderate, none of those, either. That was also going throught their website, and then calling AAA agents. I'm waiting to see what the AP discounts will be at that time of the year. We are staying for 11 nights, so if I can save 35 a night on the room, it will be worth it to buy the AP. We were going to go with the MYW with dining, so I will have to figure out how to rework that if I get the pass.

Hello everyone. I can book the AAA room only discounts. I have been doing this quite a lot lately. For those of you who have done this with me, we have also ordered discounted magic your way passes to save more money.
