Disappointed by Disneyland!?

Disneyland is an attraction, and California is the destination. You could easily turn a Disneyland visit into a California vacation.

If the people visiting Florida would adjust their mindset and think that way, I would be much happier. There is A LOT MORE to do in Florida than just Walt Disney World, just like there's A LOT MORE to do in California other than Disneyland.

But on the inverse, for people focused on the parks, there is just as much to do at the Disneyland Resort as at Walt Disney World. You just don't waste a lot of time on travel.

Unfortunately, in the Los Angeles area, there aren't any commercials or billboards advertising Florida as a destination. We rarely get WDW commercials. I've never seen a travel commercial for Florida. Unfortunately when Florida gets mentioned to a lot of people, they think of the beach and WDW.

Much like marketing on the East Coast....
Very rarely do you ever see any marketing for DL.
It is all about WDW..and the typical-for-this-area *escape to Florida* marketing, particularly in the Northeastern US.

Makes sense, considering most folks tend to visit places closer to them...or at least, the Disney Park closest to them.

Some of us however...well....we walk a different path.
The *other Coast* has a LOT more appeal.

Exactly what I mean. They should start to make better advertising campaign.
