Disadvantages of AP?

Am thinking of upgrading to AP during our upcoming trip as we would like to go in September also. Does anyone know of any disadvantages of having an AP? With and AP I don't need to book a package, but If I wanted to book a bounceback with free dining in Sept. if offered, I cannot do that without booking a package, Correct??

Yup if you are driving this could add up. Also if you look at TiW valet parking is included for free at a resort if you are dining there. When you return for your car, you will need to present a receipt from the restaurant you dined at and used the TiW card at, to get the complimentary parking. At $20 a pop for Valet, this adds up really quickly!!! Marie

My initial response when reading the title is the same as a few others, you tend to find a reason to go more often. We use the room discount and have the TiW card which I think has now payed for itself. Every time I've done the math on the dinning plan, or free dinning its not worked for us.
I was in Orlando last week for some training and I could get up and decide if I wanted to go to a park that evening. I would just go online early that morning get some fastpasses, then that evening enjoy the park.
