DINOSAUR Problems

I have a question regarding the change from CTX to Dinosaur, did the orinigal used to have Bill Nye the Science Guy in it, I am sure I remember from the first time that I rode the attraction that he was in the Pre Show (it stood out because he is obiously in UOE aswell). But since the change I am sure he is not there now, was the pre show entirely re-done or am I thinking of an attraction elswhere?

He was never in the preshow, BUT his voice is there in the part of the queue where it has the demonstration on how the comet destroyed the earth, mainly the only place he's in is the circular totunda where the Carnotaur is, right before you enter the preshow room.

Bill Nye is still there. It is actually the first pre-show while you are waiting in line in the Rotunda. Where the skeleton of the Carnotaurus is, he tells the story about a meteor striking the earth, there is 3 or 4 separate little shows that highlight the murals on the walls or light up the various fossils on the walls. After that, then you go into the Orientation Rooms for the video pre-show.

Ahh, thank you all very much for clearing that up, so what is the other attraction other than UOE that has Billy Nye in. I know 100% that I have seen one which had a video with him in it because I said to my parents that is Bill Nye from UOE. And they can remember another ride with him in (they thought it was CTX aswell).

i would count CTX/Dinosaur as a legitimate "appearance" even if you don't see him, his voice is very distinct

I loathe that the preshow is run on a continuous loop and does not start when Guests enter. It isn't unique to you as an audience member anymore b/c it takes away that you are the group going to bring back a dino.

I hate that, it is such bad show. They do that at Six Flags for Houdini's Great Escape. Should not be at AK.

I have ridden Dinosaur a lot, and I haven't noticed these problems. Other than the Pteradon, but that has never worked. I really don't remember the Carnotaur's "breath" on your neck. Was that ever an effect?

I think it needs to have a long rehab to fix all or most of the problems. I think it was made really shotty and not up to Disney par. (maybe because of ME's cut back on money.) But I love the ride but it does need some stuff to be fixed. Last time I went was in Sept. and the Carnataur head didnt move out at the end and no strob lights either. And the one part were you cant see anything you can see that you were going through a hallway in a building cuz some small lights were on. I think someone needs to write a letter to Disney because of this some what serious problem.

You know, I was there just a few minutes ago and the doors where working.

Also the pre-show started just as the last person came into the room.

Oh man, fantastic news. It's the little things like this that make a difference.

Hopefully this will continue.
