Dinosaur/Indiana Jones/DHS

I realize this is going to be a bit "all over the place", but anyway.... I'm sure it's not just me, but I really love Dinosaur. I know the herky-jerkiness of it may bother some, but I love the sudden drops, quick turns, and the animatronics are terrific. I understand that the ride layout for Dinosaur is identical to the one for the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland. Since WDW already has so many similar-type rides, why not put the Indy ride into DHS and dump the stale, unchanging stunt show? No doubt that would attract a lot more people and help spread out the traffic in the park. Half the places I go to online for Disney World updates say IJESS will be closing down and others say it won't be touched when DHS gets its major updates. I think the Stunt Show - even if crowds still go to it - really has needed to go for a long time now, but that's just me.

That is one of the big unknowns and a big rumor around these boards. I think most here believe that the stunt show is leaving for the ride as you mentioned. There are several other threads where you can read about it. Mostly in the BoD thread or the DHS redo threads.

I would love to see the Indiana Jones Adventure come to DHS and have them get rid of the Stunt Spectacular. That is my one major hope for the makeover of the park and I hope Disney comes through with that. If IJA does come to DHS, hopefully it'll also bring down the waits for Toy Story Mania, RnRC, and ToT as well:rolleyes:

Is the track really the exact same (or almost)??? If so, how is it that i've ridden both more times than I can count and not figured it out!

I think they should add it, but make the ride completely different than the other ones. Its not a problem that they are the same ride system, Universal did this with spiderman and transformers and theyre both succesful. I do hope however that the ride is added and not replacing the stunt show so that if someday there is going to be a Lucasland, Indiana Jones will get enough attention too. Otherwise I would love to see a flume ride for Indy. I mean it fits the movies and Hollywood studios just needs a water ride!

Almost exactly the same layout. There's one or two curves in dinosaur that got straightened out as you can see in the pic.

Anything would be an improvement on the stunt show IMO. Frankly they could close the show and simply erect a statue of Indiana Jones and I'd feel just as much excitement.

I think they should keep the show but just add the ride near the show. They have closed enough already there should be something left to keep something from the first years.

I love the dinosaur attraction. Its really awesome and very well done. The only complaint that I have is the audio. I'm a sound designer by trade and this attraction is TOO LOUD!! The FX volumes are ridiculously unbalanced and the end of the attraction borders on ear damaging. Now I know you may think I'm an old man or something but believe me, I'm 27, frequent metal shows, and play guitar in a band. I love loud music but dinosaur is too loud!

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
I'd still prefer to have a nice small themed Indy-land with all of the Disney indy attractions in one spot! The stunt show, disneyland ride and the coaster from Paris! It'd be a VERY good land. The stunt show is a really good show, it's just that all of the regulars (most of the people here) have seen it a lot. But it's new to a LOT of people visiting WDW because they've never seen it, so it's still a very impressive stunt show. The stunt show, plus the two others, plus a couple of shops and a restaurant would make a GREAT themed Indiana Jones area. I'm surprised nobody has really ever thought of this idea before.

I'd love to see a mine cart ride or a ride where we enter a temple of a Snake King who comes to life. In the ride you will feel snakes by simulation as Indy tries to save us from the evil king. This ride would be similar to stitchs great escape but would give a totally different experience

If they announced Indy Adventure was coming to Hollywood studios...I would probably go nuts...one of my all time favorite rides...but getting out to California is a lot more prohibitive than down to Florida...hence I've only ridden it a few times.
