I ride Dinosaur almost weekly as a local, we did have a disco Carnotaurous very briefly a few months back, but was quickly fixed

This ride must have the coolest maintenance area on property if they have extra raptors sitting around.

I have hope the alioramus will be back. I don't really see how they would benefit from throwing him out. I know out of all the dinosaurs in that scene he looks the worst when he's broken, but the static raptors aren't exactly an upgrade on that front, and the miss matched narration just hammers that home.

It's cool they put that much effort into the B-mode, though. I wonder if they would do the same for the styracosaurus or hadrosaur. Maybe we'll see...

The carnotaurus was fully functional last month. 🤷‍♂️

I saw that! I had no idea he moved like that.

When I saw it, though, the ride was breaking down a ton, which was odd since Dinosaur is normally very reliable. I was wondering if maybe they were related somehow, but I don't know if that would actually make sense from the perspective of someone who knows better.

(I was soooo close to getting evacuated off Dinosaur that day, I was so ticked.)

I have a feeling before they shut this ride down, all we'll have left is just cast members throughout the ride with those rubber dino puppets roaring at us

Bumping this thread to talk about some changes made prior to its closing.

There are static raptors in place of the alioramus, which has been removed for some reason (either fixing it or just retiring it early):

I have an idea, why don’t we hijack one of the time rovers and go get those missing dinos back?

It's odd they don't have the ability to turn off that one piece of audio like they did when the Time Rover Goes over the Saurpod's tail as Dr. Seeker doesn't say "Whoops" when it happens anymore..

I believe the raptors are the b-mode for any of the major non-carnotaurus animatronics. I saw a video years ago (sadly was deleted and I didn’t grab a screenshot) where there was a raptor in place of the styracosaurus. But more often than not I think they just let the dinos stay motionless instead of removing them.

Besides the static carno head, the only other b-mode I have heard of is a scrim for the photo carno with a photo/painting of the animatronic, presumably for if there are 2 carnos down and the static head is in use. That one has never been seen though and could just be a message board legend.
