Dinner/MNSSHP Question

I've belabored this board with MNSSHP questions. Thanks for your help! Last one, I swear... :)

I just made reservations for the last available seating time on 10/23 at the Plaza Restaurant...4:50 p.m.

My goal is to have a reservation at a place in the park so I'm not herded off with everyone else awaiting the party that night...and so I can go hit some rides relatively wait-free right after dinner with my family.

will this work?? will i have my MNSSHP pass before i go to dinner? when do they start distributing those?

any tips/advice is greatly appreciated!!!

While I do not know as much as others on here all I can do is tell you what has worked for me in the past. Hopefully someone else will drop an answer that knows more than I do about this. I have had my dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern and been able to enjoy dinner then head out to the party. I would guess that there shouldn't be a problem but I'm not sure, sorry.:veryconfu

This is my fist time in here....:lookaroun Im not exactly sure or even if this info will help you.... I was told by a person on the disney reservation line that they start letting in MNSSHP quests at 4:00 pm. The ticket for the event are either mailed to you or you can pick them up at will call so you can get your tickets by the time your dinner reservations. I have not been to the MNSSHP or to disney in years! I am looking forward to it. If anyone else has any more info on it I would love to hear! Or if my info is incorrect please let me know!

I have ressies at Cindy's for 5:20pm on 10/2 before MNSSHP and the reservation lady told me to 'sit back, relax and have a leisurely(sp?) dinner and then head down to the party once I'm finished' I've never been to MNSSHP so I'm excited!! :sohappy:

That should work out fine. In years past, they have begun letting MNSSHP admission begin at 4pm. So if you get there then, get your wristband, you can then head to your reservation. Once you are done, you will be herded to the designated area until closer to 7pm. Will be kind of hard to stretch your dinner out for 2 hours I would think so you should plan to be herded nonetheless.

My personal choice is to have a dinner at the Contemporary, about 5:30, and then walk over to the party about 6:50. This has worked out well for me. That way we get the excitement of entering the park already fully decked out when walking up Main Street. Already being inside the park would lose a tiny bit of excitement for me.

Why the heck do you need separate passes at all? Is it a separate fee? Does this same thing apply for MVMCP?

Both MNSSHP and MVMCP are seperate, "hard-ticket" events. Your regular daily admission does NOT get you into the party. They sell a limited number of tickets for each night of the parties. It's why it's a seperate admission and a special event.

To go to MK during the normal day, you need a normal ticket. If you want to stay for the party, you need a seperate party ticket. If you have just a party ticket, you can not use it for admission to MK during the regular hours.

ok..i think i heard some people here suggest that they would make dinner reservations for 5...finish up about 6...and ride the big attractions up until the time the party starts, relatively wait-free. that's what i was aiming for.

anyone else have any input on that?

No, you won't be able to do what you're asking. Although it would be nice!! :p

You can make reservations and then take your time eating so that you don't physically have to walk out of the park, then walk right back in... But just like someone said before, if you leave the restaurant, you'll be "herded" somewhere till very close to 7.

I could be wrong, but I think the last dinner rezzies they'll take on those nights is 5:20... Presumeably to help clear the park as much as possible before MNSSHP.

The only way you can ride a ride in between close and the party would be to get in line for something with a long line at 6... If you're in line for a ride at park close, they'll let you on. So say Splash or Jungle has a long line... Jump in at 5:59... Maybe wait in line for 30 minutes, ride, then you're close to 7. You still then would have to get a wristband, etc if you hadn't already.

We have reservations a liberty tree for 4:00. Now I'm thinking a 5:45or 6:00 dinner time would be better If you can't really do much during this time any way. What everone thought on that? What can you do during close and 7:00?

Between 6-7 you can do whatever is in the area you're headed to. For example, for MVMCP, we were kept in Tomorrowland, so we rode CoP and TTA. For MNSSHP last year, we were headed into Liberty Square/Frontierland, so you could do HM or Pirates. You can also grab some food. Just depends on where they stick you. But the hour goes by pretty quickly since it's a little chaotic with the going out, coming in and final party touches.

The time to ride the "normal" rides though on a party night is between 4-6pm. That gets your must-do's out of the way and lets you do party-only events during the party hours.

The last seating time at the Plaza was 4:50.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I guess I misunderstood what some others were saying earlier.

Dinner before mnsshp

We have dinner booked for 5:35 at the royal table, so once we get out of dinner we will or will not be ushered out of the park if we have tickets for the party?
