Dinner Before Fantasmic

So here I am... 31 days before I leave for my beloved Disney World and I'm changing ADRs!

I have booked 50's Prime Time Cafe for 6:40pm and was wondering what our chances for making a 9pm fantasmic?

I was thinking of booking the fantasmic lunch package at Mama Melrose and keeping our 50 PT ressie for dinner. Worth it?

If it is really important to you and your party, I say it is worth it. As it stands now, if you are at 50's for an hour, which is certainly reasonable, you may get to Fantasmic an hour before show time. I have gotten there that early and the place was packed already. I have gotten there slightly later, and still gotten a seat.

Also, are there two Fantasmic shows that night, or just one?
The second Fantasmic show is typically easier to get into and still get a decent seat closer to show time.

There are two. But the second isn't til 10:30 and we have a early flight the following morning so we would prefer to not go to the second show... I've never seen it but I could always skip it...

Always head to the show at least half hour before.. We went 30 minutes before and the place was already filled at 70% capacity.
The dinner packages always fill fast.

Is there any way to get the fantasmic package? That's what we do so that we don't have to stand in line and wait for the show.
Thats why we were trying to grab lunch at Mama Melrose with the package. I really wanted to keep my 6:40 adr at 50s PT. Just needed to confirm I would have enough time to make it to the first show.

What is the seating like for the dinner packages?

I've looked at the stadium maps and it looks like they're all the way tot the left. Are those good seats?

Another question: Just tried to book it for August, but the site only let's me go to July 4th. Are these dinner packages only reserved 90 days out?

I would think in May you will be fine. Especially if there are two of you it will be easier to snag a seat (the question is where?)
It stinks if you are going to be worried all through dinner about making the show.
Some ideas:
1. show up for your ADR 15 minutes early and hope they take you. (mixed success I have had with this)
2. Keep checking for an earlier ADR time.

I booked mine for June at my 180 day mark.

Thanks for letting me know.

Odd. The website is letting book out through July 5th, exactly 90 days out. I tried through "my disney experience" for all 3 restaurants, and then tried it from the main site for all3. Every time, only 9 0days out.

Maybe I'll call tomorrow and see what's up.

This thread read my mind! We are planning to go 2nd Wed in September. Have ADR at 50sPTC for 6:50pm (which I now realize is too late- have been checking back for earlier ressies and all I'm seeing is at 5:20). We are a party of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids), so I am sure it's going to be hard to get our ADR switched, and then find seats for the show. I was thinking a FP+ would be helpful for F! and now I'm wondering if it will be worth it? It is our first trip and likely not repeated for another decade, so was hoping to hit the highlights...
