Happening for me too for Trader Sam's. I have a feeling it's the system. When more than 7 people log on it freaks out. I can't imagine Carnation Cafe would be booked solid every day... Gotta love Disney servers....

Edit: I can't find availability at any restaurant I try. At one point I was put in a queue just to look up dining locations..... Thank you Go.com

The Trader Sam's page is completely busted on desktop for me. Just get an error message. Was able to get through to it on mobile, though, and it's showing no open times for any of the three days I'll be there next month. I really hope they still do walk-ups.

Now I'm starting to see reservations pop up at other places when earlier almost the entire resort was booked or pages weren't loading. I wonder if there was a problem with the system it's started to get ironed out. I still haven't been able to get the reservations I want. Still trying.

They are absolutely doing walk ups. This has been confirmed by one of the skipper/bartenders

Bro, I think it’s because they thought it was a good idea to release Oogy’s dessert part reservations and some other dining parade view reservations and every other returning restaurant on the exact same day. 🙄

I couldn't figure out why I was having so many issues and then I found this out and thought it was the dumbest thing ever to put out EVERYTHING on the same day, with no advance notice of what time each would be released.

Breakfast at Carnation Cafe is a great way to start a day at Disneyland! Eggs Benedict FTW! 😍 Before I had my daughter, my friend and I used to go yearly and this was a last day tradition.

Now, it has been quite a few years, but I never made reservations for CC before the trip. On the first morning of my visit, I'd just march straight to the hostess stand and make a reservation for the morning I wanted. It always worked. BUT, this was the before times., so..... ???

Gah - I have a bunch of reservations (this or that or neither) and I can't decide what to keep because I haven't seen any reviews yet! (There are reviews of Storytellers breakfast but not the brunch which has different food choices.)

Dunno whether to keep or drop Storyteller's brunch - it's a character brunch which makes me happy but could only get last reservation of the meal service and wonder if food will be the dregs and only one character parade through then gone? Is it even worth it?

Also have Goofy's breakfast - I miss the PBJ pizza but is it worth the price (whatever it is) without characters?

Haven't found reviews of either and getting twitchy that maybe I should drop one or the other. I do want to do at least one though and would lean towards the character brunch but worried about cold/not fresh food with a late reservation or staff trying to hurry you out and kitchen staff wanting to leave and not make more food. Hmm...

Just go in with lower expectations and remember Disney continually lowers their standards.

We did Goofy’s on Wednesday. I don’t think it’s worth it without the characters.I paid $223 for four of us including tax and gratuity. My kids were so looking forward to the PB and J pizza but both of them said the texture wasn’t good and didn’t really eat it much. They hadn’t eaten it for a few years and are older now. Maybe they had been remembering it better than it was since they weee younger when they’ve eaten it before?
I never thought the food there was amazing or anything and I’d still say the same. It was okay. I wouldn’t pay it again without the characters.

We will be going to the brunch soon. I can tell you how that goes then :)

Thank you so much - that was so helpful! Okay, definitely going to hold off until characters come back for Goofy's then (and hopefully the kitchen gets back up to speed)!

Eagerly awaiting your brunch thoughts! :)

Morning! We just got back last night from a week in the parks, and here are a few dining thoughts:

Brunch at Lamplight: This was pretty good. Lamplight has always been one of our favorite settings, with seats overlooking the bay and the energy of the Pixar Pier rides moving around. The brunch was solid, but not spectacular. I had the tasty chilequiles (very filling; I couldn't finish) and my wife had the Potato Flautas, which she enjoyed. And, of course, the mimosa flights. The service was decent too. A nice way to start your morning.

Late meal at Craftsman Bar: This is the poolside lounge at the GCH, and I can't recommend it. We had an evening swim and wandered over. It's a pleasant enough setting but the food was meh at best (Lobster Quesadilla for me; Salmon Salad for the wife) but the cocktails were good. There was also a two-piece combo playing at an annoyingly loud volume. We eventually asked to move as we couldn't hear each other talk. Our server was nice and said that was common request.

Dinner at Napa Rose. Very enjoyable. The food was great (I had the Filet Mignon with White Cheddar Whipped Potatoes and Goat Cheese Zucchini Blossoms with Golden Beets; my wife had Braised Mediterranean Vegetables and Cavatelli Pasta. It was all very fresh and flavorful. Our server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. He asked several questions about our wine preferences. We settled on a very nice Sonoma pinot noir. It's a spendy place and probably not great for kids, but very enjoyable.

Those were the main points. The rest was your basic park and DTD food, which we're all familiar with. We didn't bother with Pym's and it's weird sized food.
