Dining plan - when will it start??

Hi everyone,
We are off to the world in May 2011 and have the free Disney Dining Plan. We are staying for 14 nights - and think I read that the Dining plan gives each person the same number of days of dining plan as the number of nights you are staying.

So.... will our dining plan start the day we arrive? Or since we are there for 15 days total, will it start the day after we arrive??

Basically im concerned that we are staying for 15 days in total, that our dining plan will only cover 14 days?

Dining Plan equals the nights booked, so you will have 14 days available on your DDP.

The 14 days' credits are available from the moment you check in until midnight after you're checked out. You can use your credits all in the first few days or spread them across your vacation in any manner that suits you. The credits are pooled on all the room keys for your room, so anyone has access to any or all of them.

So the simple answer is yes, you have credits you can use immediately after check in and they expire if you haven't used them at midnight after check out.

I stay for 9 days/8 nights each year.
Since I have an extra day, we eat at Cosmic Ray's and share a meal during the trip. That way on the last day, we still have one CS credit to use. I also use my snacks on that last day instead of a full meal.
