Dining Plan Problems

Our trip is set for Nov. 22-28 and I called today to book our dining plans exactly 90 days out. Since we are staying at a Disney resort and have purchased the dining plan I went ahead and made all of our reservations for our entire stay. But I could not get a single time for the entire trip for Cinderella's breakfast. Has anyone else experienced a hard time getting reservations so far out using the extended planning time for Cindy's or do you think it's because we will be there over the thanksgiving holiday. I also could not get Liberty Tree for thanksgiving day so I am assuming it must be the most popular restaurant for this holiday. I did get Garden Grill :) for thanksgiving and all my other requests.

Cindy's breakfast is one of the most popular spots... Don't get discouraged it was booked. If I were you, I'd try once every couple days and I'd bet you'll get lucky and it will open up. I had the exact same thing happen to me, and just this morning got in for Sept. 26th... Only just 1 month away. Being 90 days out, you've got a good amount of time.

The one time I was there on Thanksgiving we foolishly booked no meal reservations. Luckily we were able to get into Liberty Tree without one, but we did have to wait a while for a table, even though we were there early in the afternoon for dinner. I think they were booked solid, but the cast member at the desk took pity on us and figured out a way to get us in. The park was PACKED that day!

buried .... that is great advise. When I originally called for my Royal table supper it was booked solid for the duration of my stay (september). I called a week ago and got a saturday night 6:10 supper ressie.

Calling back a few times and checking worked for me. On my fourth call, I was able to get a breakfast ressie on the day before Thanksgiving for 9:10. Each time I called it was to make a different ressie (I'm haven't done my usual "planning" this time because we are going in 23 days and again the week of Thanksgiving), but each time I would ask about Cinderella's for breakfast. The CM was almost as excited as I was. She had said that she doesn't start work until 10 every morning and all of the reservations were long gone before she started work. I think that made both of our days!!!

Keep Trying and Good Luck!!!!

This is actually happening quite a bit now that they changed the way you can make your dining arrangements. The old way was much better when it came to getting them. It was fair to everyone. I do believe they should go back to the old way.

Thanks for all your replies. You've given me hope, I'll keep trying.

I like that I was able to make my other reservations further out, but I do agree this makes Cinderella even harder.

What I really need is park hours for Novemeber and Dec. I cant plan my dinner plans until I know what time the parks close. And I can start making those ressies on Monday.

It does seem like the new way is unfair. It makes it even more difficult to get the more exclusive reservations. Like if one person is vacationing December 1-10 and another is vacationing December 2-10 and they both want to do Cindy's breakfast on the 5th, then the first guy will have a much better chance of getting the reservation than the 2nd guy because he'll be able to call a day earlier.

We went in Feb.(13-19th) and we also could not get ressies for cindy's breakfast so we made ressies for Akershus in Norway. My DD loved it and didn't mind that cindy wasn't there. She still got to see Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, and Snow White. Each princess stooped at each table to sign autographs and each princess posed with my daughter for a picture!

P.S. the food isn't bad either(breakfast anyway)!

still call at the 90 day point too

If you are booking Advanced Reservations 90 days from your resort check in date with the 10 additional days and cannot get the Cinderella Breakfast; keep calling at the 90 day point for each day of your stay. With the new 90 plus 10 (you can book 10 days out from your WDW [Disney owned resorts only] resort check in date ) the restaurants are only loading a portion of the dining times for the new enhancement for resort guests. They are still adding avalibility at the 90 day point also. Sometimes the dining locations also add more at 60 and 30 days out (that is not guaranteed) So your best bet for booking dining is calling at the 90 day point and book all your favorite places then use the actual 90 point for each day to try to book the locations you cannot get in to. I hope this helps

And here we thought Disney was trying to free the CRO
from having to take multiple calls from the same people modifying their ressies, etc.

And now with the way this program is being admnistered, they're just reinforcing the reasons to call, call, call.........

It must really be like walking a tightrope trying to satisfy everyone :veryconfu

I'm getting nervous. I want Chef Mickey's for Christmas and Liberty Tree Tavern for MVMCP night (20th).

If I were you I would go ahead and call for the MVMCP night!! I purchased my tickets for that night already and they let you make your reservations during the party's hours even though it is more than 90 days out. I am going on the 18th and 20th and both were very booked already. I had to settle for a later seating at the Liberty Tree and couldn't get in until very late on the other day so I booked at Tony's instead.

I'm not sure if you have to have puchased your tix before they will let you make the reservations but, it's worth a try if you haven't.

Cindy's breakfast is extremely hard to book. Now with resort guests getting extra time to me it seems like it could be even harder (especially for those not staying at a Disney resort). Good luck, but don't be upset if it doesn't work out. Try Norway for a princess meal or Cindy's dinner at the Grand Floridian.

YEAH!!!!:sohappy: I got the reservation today for CRT and had multiple times to choose from for November 25. You all gave great advise!!! I guess they do release more times exactly 90 outs because I have been calling for the past three days and have told there are no times available. The only ones more happy than I am about this will be my kids!

Cindy's was hard to get before the change to the ADR program, so I would bet it's even worse now! We bypassed even trying for this trip and went with the dinner at 1900 and the Norway breakfast instead. So we will still see Cinderella (at 1900) and we'll still eat in a castle with princesses (in Norway). Had no trouble at all booking both of these. In fact, I got every request at the exact time I wanted. I was shocked! I figured I'd have to rethink at least a couple of choices, and had my backups determined just in case.
