Dining plan menus

I was wondering if there is a website or if people could tell me what I cant order with the dining plan package. I was under the asumption that some things are not included other than alcohol. Like for example I want to go to the rose and crown dining room and get a nice steak entree is that part of the package or is there only a few things on the menu I can choose from. Trying to make this clear to a tee what I am trying to get at.

Thanks for everyones soon to be help.

Ok final question on this (hopefully). Let's say we check in on Saturday evening at 9pm and check out on the following Saturday morning at 11am. We pay for the dining plan on that Saturday night check in but we can use that at any time including on the day we check out, but we don't pay for the meal on the day that we have checked out. Am I making sense?

When you check in they'll activate the Dining Plan on your resort keys [all the keys will have access to the pool of meals]. You can then use the plan for any meals you eat from that moment until midnight on your departure date or you run out of credits whichever comes first. If you've booked your Table Service meals in advance [hopefully, it's hard to get sittings on short notice], hopefully you've covered all your TS credits.

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't think we are going to make a trip before our planned Christmas trip with the family (13). So that should give us plenty of time for each family to look over the menus and make our TS plans accordingly. Now the one link I had from here lists Cinderellas Royal Table being available for Lunch and Dinner and costing 1 meal allotment. Is that outdated info? If so, are all meals BLD now a 2 meal allotment? We've eaten at Cinderella's 3 times for breakfasts, so if we don't do it this time, its no big deal. We definately want to get the most out of this plan. I think it will be the way for us to go, esp. since we will be saving about $50 a day on tips, possibly more if several people have that $56 meal, with a group of 13 and the automatic 20% tip that adds up quickly.

Ok, sorry now I have another question. It was mentioned in a previous post that some deserts count as two of your deserts. So I guess the servers let you know that when you order? If this is the case, it raises another question. Can you split your table service meal? Example: for lunch could you have an appetizer and desert then go someplace else for dinner and pay for anything beyond your entree? Or do they just deduct one desert from your next table service meal so that on that day you would not have desert? Or split it with someone at the table and each use your one desert alotment?

At alfredo's it is the dessert sampler that is for 2 (and 2 people need to use their credits for it). You can not borrow against part of tomorrow's meal (TS credits are for 1 app, 1 entree, 1 dessert, 1 drink - if you choose not to order something at that seating, you lose it - it doesn't carry over to another meal).

And yes, we were told up front that the sampler was for 2 and we could get it by pooling our dessert credits.

3 weeks on the Disney Dining Plan and Busting

Hi, We have just arrived back from spending 3 weeks at Disney's Caribbean Resort. 4 Feb 06 - 25 Feb 06 .We had the Disney Dining Plan for the full length of our stay. There were 4 in our party so that worked out to be 84 sit down meals, 84 counter service meals and 84 snacks. It was excellent value for money. We tried restaurants, dishes etc that would not usually try and we must have eaten our way round WDW. I would definetly try Le Cellier at the World show case the food is fantastic.

We averaged about $130 - $150 per sit down meal, a couple of meals came to $200+. Counter service meals averaged between $45 - $50. So even without the snacks added it was clearly good value for money. Then when you add in the tip at 18% you got yourself a bargain:slurp::slurp::slurp::slurp:

Thanks for the input. Once we found out that tips were included it pretty much seemed like a no brainer as long as we don't get ap's again. Because we are a party of 12 or 13 this trip, they always add that 20% tip on and that became a pretty hefty chunk of $$ every day. On two occasions it seemed like the servers knew we were a party of 12 and they were guaranteed that 20% and the service did not warrent the $50 tip.
